  • Antiquarian's Alpine Gallery - Tucked away in scenic Hjaalmarch, this rustic gallery contains plenty of space to display all manner of antiquities. A gorgeous waterfall provides water to a private pond, creating a perfect setting for scholarly gatherings.
  • Bastion Sanguinaris - Towering architecture, views to die (or kill) for, and a secret passage number among the many features of this striking Blackreach edifice, which stands within easy reach of Greymoor Keep.
  • Bleakridge Barrow - "The barrow at Bleakridge was ancient when we decided to settle here and build the city of Karthwatch. The town leaders thought the barrow would make a good defensible position if the Reachmen decided to invade. And the Reachmen always decide to invade."-Magister Fridelja
  • Castle Dour - Castle Dour, the oldest section of Solitude, contains a number of distinct locations within its sturdy walls, including the ancient fortress, the Temple of the Divines, and the newer Tower of the Wolf.
  • Chillwind Depths - Rumors concerning the series of caves referred to as Chillwind Depths include such tales as giant insects, lost Reach treasures, and pale-skinned humanoids with a hunger for Nord flesh. The truth of these stories remains to be verified, but few people dare to venture into its interior.

Most recently, local smugglers employ the caves in order to hide and move black-market goods outside the notice of the Dragon Bridge garrison.

  • Frozen Coast - The ice-encrusted shore of northeastern Hjaalmarch Hold never thaws, hence the name, Frozen Coast. The coastline extends into the territory of the Pale, Hjaalmarch's neighbors to the east.
  • Greymoor Keep - This ancient structure has loomed over the Greymoor Cavern of Blackreach since before the Dwemer built their underground cities. Great power resides in the very stones used to construct the place, and some legends claim that the first vampires laid those stones.
  • Greymoor Keep: West Wing - "The reins and bridles of leadership are a burden I refuse to bear. Let the Ashen Lord rule over Greymoor Keep if he so chooses. I much prefer study, research, and experimentation. Those are the jewels that claim my heart."-Lady Essenia
  • Kagnthamz - Located in the southeastern portion of Blackreach's Dusktown Cavern, the Dwarven ruin known as Kagnthamz must have been part of the great Dwarven city that once dominated this portion of their underground domain. However, like most things related to the Dwemer, its true purpose remains a mystery.

  • Morthal Barrow - "We avoid the barrow outside Morthal. It's haunted, don't you know? The jarl even makes us patrol the area on a regular basis because the ancient dead have a habit of getting up and walking around. Very uncalled for, but things like that happen. That's why we're always prepared."-Swordthane Enyra
  • Nchuthnkarst - "In our exploration of the area around Dusktown, we found the Dwarven ruins of Nchuthnkarst. While Claudina is fairly certain there's nothing supernatural haunting the ruins, the strange mechanical sounds echoing from inside have made both of us uneasy. Best to avoid the place."-Phebe Peronard
