Jin-Ei

Jin-Ei is an Argonian guar herder found in the settlement located near the Sulfur Pools. He'll give you a quest where he will ask you to return the Guar that fled during the covenant attack to the stable. He has a home on the east side of the village, but he mostly hangs out in the stables just to the west.

Quest-Related Events

He will be outside the stables. Speak to him to accept the quest from him:

"I'm sure the Covenant troops have eaten them all.
Uncivilized savages."

Eaten all of what?

"Our guar. When the Covenant soldiers attacked, the guar panicked and ran into the sulfur pools.
Guar aren't the smartest animals. By now, some of them have probably drowned."

How could I get them to return?

"Did I mention they're dumb? Put a harness back on them, say a few calm words, and they'll run back here.
The hard part would be finding harnesses. I've only got one here. The rest are scattered with the guar. You'll have to find them in the pools."

I'm sure I'll find more.

Speaking to him again:

"Our guar are scattered throughout the sulfur pools to the south.
They won't return without the reminder of a harness around their necks. And dead guar don't need harnesses anymore."

After finding all the guar:

"A fine job. Most of the herd has come home."

I'm glad they made it.

"The Othrys use these animals to haul carts of sulfur to market, but they don't care about them like I do.
Whether or not you care about the guar, you've helped them... and me. I think I owe you this."

After the quest:

"The guar must've liked the way you smell. Good noses on guar, yes?
After all the years I've spent around these pools, all I can smell is sulfur."
