Bardun is a Redguard adventurer found outside Thukhozod's Sanctum. He is Meram Farr's husband and business partner and recently had a bit of bad luck in the ruins.

Speak to him before starting the quest and he'll say:

"Ow! Stupid ankle! Hurts like a skinned pig in salt water!
Can't you see I'm in pain? Talk to Meram if you need something, why don't you?"

After exploring the ruins:

"Did you see all those skeletons? Weren't they frightening, with their bones and their skin all missing and everything? I hate those things!"

If you talk to him after the quest, he'll reveal:

"Thanks for helping us out after I went and hurt my ankle. I have a real aversion to walking skeletons. Must be a cultural thing.
Anyway, if you ever need a partner, I'm not opposed to dropping Meram in a ditch and hooking up with you."
