Merging[edit]

I don't agree with the suggestion to merge this article with Magical Stones. This article covers a different topic, and has enough material that it is not a stub that needs to be gotten rid of. There are two more lectures that will be added to the article, plus potentially some commentary on which lectures are red herrings. Also, the Magical Stones is definitely a long enough article that it doesn't need to have more information tacked on to it.

Agreed. It should probably have a link of its own from the Arcane University section eventually. Also, I just wanted to say that I admire the dedication of the writer! Rpeh 08:52, 31 May 2007 (EDT)
Thanks, Although I'm very busy most of the time I try to find some time to work on the wiki, I will find it harder to continue this article because my disk has been damaged beyond repair.--ChadFromCky 20:06, 9 June 2007 (EDT)

As for it being an orphan, the only reason it's an orphan is because it's a new article that is still being worked on. If you need to put a tag on it, a wip tag would be more appropriate than a merge tag. I'd rather give editors a chance to finish an article rather than insisting that links immediately be added to incomplete articles, especially if the main reason for wanting the links is just to clean articles out of the orphaned articles listing. --NepheleTalk 17:25, 18 May 2007 (EDT)

Hmm. For some reason, I thought this page had actually existed for several months without being touched. Didn't notice how recent it was. At any rate, I noticed that all 3 of the lectures here relate to Runestones, and the page seemed pretty lonely. It does still seem to me that the lectures could be written in paragraph form, which would take up less space, and that would make it not such a big deal to add to Magical Stones, but I guess that'll depend on the subject of the other lectures... --TheRealLurlock Talk 00:26, 19 May 2007 (EDT)
I linked it to the arcane university page I hope it works it looks like it does and I don't see any reason for it to be merged but rather a link to this page.--Most Honored Listener 15:21, 16 July 2007 (EDT)

Fort Runestones[edit]

On the subject of Fort Runestones: Sancre Tor does have glowing Runestone-like objects inside its structure (in addition to the Runestone on its surface.) These seem like smaller versions of the typical Runestone, except that their runes are blue in color, and more importantly, they do not seem capable of being Activated at all. I wish I could provide a picture of these, but they are numerous and not easily missed: One pair is located in the main "hub" hall, just prior to the magically protected crypt. I'd appreciate it if someone else could take a look and confirm my thoughts before this is noted in the main article text. Csaunders4z 00:00, 25 July 2007 (EDT)

I assume this is what you mean. There are a few of these dotted around Sancre Tor and no, they definitely can't be activated. They do look a lot like runestones though. --RpehTalk 12:57, 25 July 2007 (EDT)
Thanks for pointing those out! I'm pretty sure those are the missing Fort Runestones, in particular because the editor name is "RFRunestone01". And as Rpeh's photo shows, they definitely look like runestones. There are only 11 of them in the game, all located in Sancre Tor. --NepheleTalk 16:45, 25 July 2007 (EDT)
The color of the light appears similar to the discolored flames of the braziers found in some forts. And remember, Sancre Tor is a pretty crazy place, depending on how many legends you believe.Temple-Zero 21:53, 25 December 2008 (EST)

Touched by Magic[edit]

Has anyone tried to cast magick at them? it would not be the first stone to require strikeing by magick [black soul gem manufacture, the finger of the mountain pillar, vahtecen pillar] — Unsigned comment by 90.213.53.89 (talk) on 11 August 2009

It does nothing. There's no scripting on any runestone that is triggered by magic. –rpehTCE 06:49, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
