Lorkmir[edit]

Can his house be used as a safe storing place? I know his bed is usable, but not whether his cabinets are. --Merco 15:05, 13 March 2008 (EDT)

As far as I can see, all the containers in that house respawn so they're not safe. –RpehTCE 11:09, 16 March 2008 (EDT)
I know this is an old discussion, but I just wanted to point out for future readers that Lorkmir's house contains several torn sacks of grain ("A Torn Sack of Grain") which are safe containers. --Gardimuer 05:09, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

Atraena[edit]

"Atraena can give you a hint if her disposition is above 70 or your Personality is high enough".

Mine's 30, her disposition is 55, and telling you exactly where Faelian goes is more than "a hint".

Yep, article's way off - updated with correct values from CS --Aliana 10:33, 31 October 2008 (EDT)

Who Killed Lorkmir?[edit]

Silari removed the lines stating the Faelian killed Lorkmir and then SerCenKing added one of them back. I think the article now strikes the right balance. The only relevant line of dialogue is Faelian's line "Lorkmir ain't... he ain't around no more. He he he... I use his house. Here's a key! For... for you! You come whenever you... you want! Okay then...". Whilst that doesn't amount to a confession, I think this is one case where it's reasonable to assume that Faelian did the deed. –RpehTCE 14:30, 12 March 2009 (EDT)

Yep, ditto to all of that. --SerCenKing 14:35, 12 March 2009 (EDT)

Sleeping time[edit]

(moved from article)

I may not be correct because i waited, but he sleeps from 1-1:30 am-ish until 2 am then leves the hotel were he lives (he will NOT talk to you in the hotel) — Unsigned comment by 67.183.76.254 (talk)

EATING TIME[edit]

Does Faelian eat or drink at all in his schedule? Because i want to poison him with a Potion i made from a poisoned apple.--82.42.169.60 16:33, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

No, he doesn't eat (or drink) at all, so poisoning him like that isn't possible I'm afraid. --Timenn-<talk> 21:12, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
I Figured this out after stalking him for a day, but thanks anyway =D--VergilSparda 21:52, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Followed in Lorkmir's House[edit]

What if you kill Faelian in Lorkmir's house, but also have a follower, like The Adoring Fan in the house with you? If you kill Faelian in Lorkmir's house while accompanied by a follower, will the bonus be forfeit? Nikofeelan 17:30, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm fairly certain that as long as you're in Lorkmir's house, even if another NPC is in the room, the bonus won't be forfeit. --Mptrj - - 20:18, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

Advancement[edit]

This article states that you are advanced to eliminator and you are rewarded the well key for completing this quest, but that is done when you complete the The Assassinated Man quest. I think it should be removed. --I am not a member — Unsigned comment by 68.71.14.115 (talk) on 2 June 2010

oops, i just saw the sentence before it saying if you failed the assassinated man, sorry.--i am not a member — Unsigned comment by 68.71.14.115 (talk) on 2 June 2010
You receive the advancement and key if you failed the previous mission, The Assassinated Man Chris-the-killer 16:34, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Waterfront[edit]

I went to sleep in the abanded shack on the water front and woke up at 7 am fredes and he was in there with me — Unsigned comment by 72.129.138.38 (talk) on 20 August 2010

See his page. His schedule will cause him to come here. -- Jplatinum16 14:21, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

Possible Easter Egg?[edit]

Is the mini quest's name "My Brother's Keeper" a reference to the book/movie "My Sister's Keeper"? 58.169.244.192 04:02, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

No. It's a line from Genesis, in the Bible. rpeh •TCE 05:39, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Recent edit[edit]

No complaint if you add in that Cain isnt verifiably the first murderer, but I feel that "(according to legend) is worded a bit strongly. It just struck me as a little biased. Any ideas for a rewording?--Catmaniac66 03:57, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

I've reworded the sentence so its more neutral. The story of Cain and Abel appears to be known in english speaking society as "the story of the first murder" or at the very least its recognised as a story of the first murder. Refering to it as "the story" should make it ambiguous to the reader (there are many types of stories) so it may not discriminate. It should also make it a bit more recognisable to readers (if mentioning Cain and Abel wasn't enough). RaidensTechSupp 08:55, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
That edit is perfectly agreeable to me. Thank you!--Catmaniac66 12:25, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Moved notes[edit]

  • The Quest title "My Brother's Keeper" is a reference to Cain's statement in Genesis when asked by God where Abel is: "Am I my brother's keeper?" As a quest-tag for a secret order of assassins, a quotation from the story of the first murder is most apposite.
  • You can actually tell Faelian that you want his soul, and he will encourage you to take it, possibly due to the debilitating effects of his Skooma addiction.

I've pruned these notes as part of a task for the UESPwiki. Feel free to re-add them. --AKB Talk 07:01, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Here is another - if this is good, then we'll have to add it to all quests in the IC:
  • If you want the bonus and have completed the Dagon Shrine quest, be careful when moving near Faelian in the city. You may run across some Mythic Dawn agents, and when they summon their Mythic Dawn gear, Faelian will attack them if he's around you. Since he only has an iron dagger and no armor, he will very likely be cut down during this encounter, losing your bonus since he died in public. Cast a Demoralize spell on him to cause him to run to safety. --Krusty 13:00, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
