Kill Before Quest[edit]

What happens if you kill the fugitives when you are not doing this quest? Helper Unknown 07:15, 20 August 2008 (EDT)

You can't. They don't exist until you start the quest. –RpehTCE 07:48, 20 August 2008 (EDT)

Wierd glitch[edit]

When I found the "Bloodmygne Cave" it said I stole from the Mages Guild and are suspended for it... — Unsigned comment by 208.127.224.56 (talk) at 03:57 on 5 February 2009 (GMT)

bloodmayne cave[edit]

I went to Bloodmayne cave once in the beginning of the game and did not want to crawl through it, so left. Now I at the quest of The Fugitives and I am unable to enter the cave. It freezes and will not load. I have loaded my character from the beginning of the game and can get in, but my character has done all the quests except SL and finishing up the Fighters Guild. I would love to finish The Fighters guild but if I don't find a way to get inside that cave I can't kill those 2 fugitives. I have found the back entrance and have killed the 2 there and tried to get into the cave from the door there, but even the back door will not let me inside this cave. I would love to know if there is a way to get around this problem. I am playing on the ps3. Thanks a bunch, — Unsigned comment by 99.185.143.209 (talk) at 18:42 on 3 September 2010

Similar thing happened to me on 360; try rigorously cleaning disk. May sound kind of neanderthal, but hey, it worked for me.LtGt72 — Unsigned comment by LtGt72 (talkcontribs) at 19:07 on 11 January 2011
While testing, this has not happened to me, so my advice is to clean the disk for it is probably a disc or even console problem. Try replaying and only accessing the cave when you are on the quest to see if that is your problem. -- Ad Intellige Mecum loqui 23:25, 2 April 2013 (GMT)

BUG: Missing Fugitives [PC][edit]

On the PC, in some cases two of four of the fugitives may be missing (I used MOVETOQT to get to them and was directed straight to an area I had already passed). There isn't a fix that I know of; (I use the Unofficial Oblivion Patch), and that does not makes them show up. However, there is a way to "kill" them. Using the console, look up the NPC's here at UESP and record their RefID's, then in the game use the console command prid <refid> to select the NPC in the console and then use kill to kill them. It will count towards the quest. Dbrown1986 01:45, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

This should maybe be added to the mainpage? For me only one of them spawned inside the cave and the quest marker pointed at nothing outside the cave. Using the Unofficial patch as well. 78.82.226.232 15:56, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
This happened to me too. Only one fugitive was in the cave. My quest marker only pointed to the cave door, no matter if I was inside or out. UOP as well. — Unsigned comment by 71.15.155.224 (talk) at 15:37 on 30 October 2011

Gas traps[edit]

Whenever I reach the gas traps, I pull the pull rope, which does nothing. When I try again, the game just freezes. I've tried to see if I needed to do something different, or if it was just a temporary thing, and there hasn't been anything on it... — Unsigned comment by 70.247.188.10 (talk) at 02:48 on 24 April 2011

Journal entry 40[edit]

Is there a trick to get this journal entry? Does it only work on certain Thieves' Guild members, or only if one hasn't asked a regular townsperson already? I tried it with all the Thieves in Bravil I could think of and even the beggars - but I only get the "can't help you further" message (that you get after getting journal entry 30). Is it a bug? — Unsigned comment by Meisterdieb (talkcontribs) at 11:59 on 15 March 2013 (GMT)
