Uncharted Territory[edit]

I stumbled upon this cave on the way to the Mehrune's Razor location. I find it curious that I didn't get the find message. I walked the perimeter and entered the door. Still not showing on my map. Are there many places like this or have I run into a bug?--OGRastamon 00:57, 23 November 2006 (EST)

Any chance you discovered the second entrance to Swampy Cave (in which case the door would say "Wood Door to Swampy Cave Dry Rock Run" instead of "Wood Door to Swampy Cave")? The second entrance does not give you a "find" message and does not have a map marker that shows up on the map (this is generally true for second entrances to caves). --Nephele 00:33, 24 November 2006 (EST)

Detect Life Helm?[edit]

When exactly is the type decided? --Debatra 20:00, 10 July 2008 (EDT)

To answer my own question, when you enter the cave. --Debatra 20:40, 10 July 2008 (EDT)
Also, it depends on whether your light or heavy armor skill is higher, taking fortification, damage and drain effects into account. --Debatra 20:40, 10 July 2008 (EDT)
No, it's determined randomly using a standard leveled list. Your skill level has no effect on whether you are more likely to receive a heavy armor or light armor version of the helmet. --NepheleTalk 16:02, 13 July 2008 (EDT)

Cheap Destruction/Marksman/Restoration Training[edit]

Hi all! Not sure if this is the appropriate place to put this, but I thought I'd give it a try. I've found that the last chamber on the second level of this dungeon (the first one if you're going in the "back door") is an ideal spot to train your long-range attack skills, since the two trolls in the pit in this area can't--or won't, I'm not sure which--climb up out of the pit to attack you. Just stand on the edge of the pit and fire away to your heart's content (or until you run out of arrows). If you have a Convalescence spell, you can do this indefinitely (as well as training your Restoration skill, too) as long as you're careful not to fireball or arrow the trolls to death. I have no idea why the trolls don't leave the pit...it's not difficult at all for the player to do...but I wasn't about to complain.

This does NOT work if you come in from the "back door", since the trolls CAN get up that way. You have to work your way to this chamber from the regular entrance (the one guarded by the will-o-wisps). 107.134.181.162 23:05, 4 October 2015 (UTC)PrimeSlime
