Permanent or Constant?[edit]

One note, does it add a permanent 30%, or is it just a constant effect? Maybe not that big of a deal, but it could have some impact. --Red cactus 07:32, 7 June 2006 (EDT)

It's a constant effect, as long as you have the shield equipped. When I wrote it originally I was still in the Morrowind mentality where lots of items had to be activated. QuillanTalk 09:52, 7 June 2006 (EDT)

Insane durability[edit]

All I ever do is block and even after clearing an Oblivion Plane at level 19, I still have yet to see its integrity drop below 97%. Are all Daedric artifacts this durable? I don't think I've even reached Journeyman yet with blocking so I doubt it could be that. Does it have anything to do with the Heavy Armor skill? -- J5689 17:58, 28 July 2008 (EDT)

Can you actually check your block skill please? If it's at least 50 then blocking will cause your shield no damage, and the 3% you've got is simple armor damage. –RpehTCE 00:36, 29 July 2008 (EDT)

Recomended Level for Obtaining?[edit]

I just completed this quest right al level 10, because I thought the spell reflect would be handy to have. The armor value listed here is set at 18, and my shiel in game is at 10. Is it a leveled item? Is the 18 with 125% repair or maxed out heavy armor? I like the shield, but am willing to wait if it means having it better. — Unsigned comment by 98.247.90.187 (talk) at 12:58 on 21 August 2009‎ (UTC)

Daedric Quest rewards aren't leveled, so getting it at level 10 was a good idea. --Chill02 05:55, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
To answer your question, the armor rating shown in-game is affected by condition and the relivant armor skill (in this case heavy armor). The rating shown in the article is the base value set in the CS that the in-game value is derived from.68.55.67.135 20:27, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Spellbreaker sword?[edit]

In the Testing halls I was scrolling through the Ammo and Weapons container and came across a plain unenchanted sword called "Spellbreaker", its icon is that of a Silver Longsword. Anyone know more details about this sword?--Dro'Bakha 02:09, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

It's just one of a large number of items in the testing zone that didn't make it to the final game. It's not used anywhere else. rpeh •TCE 08:33, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
Ah okies, wasn't sure if it had a scripting thing or not since I play on Xbox only. Thanks for that.--Dro'Bakha 09:02, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
