Separate Article[edit]

I think Shetcombe Farm, a location, should have a seperate entry from The Sunken One, a quest. Anyone agree? -- TheRealLurlock 01:37, 11 June 2006 (EDT)

Yes. Good work. --Actreal 02:25, 11 June 2006 (EDT)

Becoming a Farmer[edit]

I was just wondering something. Shetcombe makes an ideal location for anyone who wanted to do a bit of farming RPing. Therefore, I was curious as to whether or not there's a way to change whether chests and containers to make them safe, either via the console or mods? — Unsigned comment by 87.127.79.8 (talk) at 22:04 on 22 May 2007 (UTC)

It's definitely possible; it really just depends upon how you want to do it. You could just disable the respawn setting on each of the containers, although that would affect hundreds of other containers in the game. A better way (either console or construction set) is probably to just disable all the chests/containers that are there to start with and instead add some containers of a non-respawning variety. --NepheleTalk 21:15, 22 May 2007 (EDT)
Sounds interesting. Care to enlighten me about how to do it with the console? I know the basic commands etc, but any tips or useful IDs would be great.
Thanks. — Unsigned comment by 87.127.79.8 (talk) at 19:42 on 24 May 2007 (UTC)‎
To get rid of what's there, select each container with your mouse in the console, then type disable (be sure you've got the right item based on the name that appears in the top center of the screen, because you'll have a hard time ever re-enabling, see Disable).
To add new stuff, player.placeatme is probably easiest from the console, although you might need to experiment a couple times to have the new container appear roughly where you want it. As for what containers to add, I'd go with some of the ones used in the player's houses. Some example FormIDs: barrel 512E, crate 515C, chest 513E, cupboard 514F, drawers 5150. In other words, to add a chest type player.placeatme 513E into the console. For more info, you might want to check out PlaceAtMe.
Of course, I haven't actually tried this specifically for your situation, so I can't guarantee it will work ;) Let me know if anything fails miserably and I'll go back to the drawing board. --NepheleTalk 16:15, 24 May 2007 (EDT)
Terrific, thanks. I'll give it a go next time I'm near there. I'm familar with PlaceAtMe to add characters who stupidly got themselves killed, but never items, so this should be interesting. — Unsigned comment by 87.127.79.8 (talk) at 21:04 on 24 May 2007 (UTC)‎

() Have just given it a go. The chests disappear no problem, and the new ones I add don't respawn after 73 hours, like the normal ones. The only issue is that due to the placement of Shetcombe on a hillside, the chests etc all fall through the floor a little. But the basic principle works. Giant Nirnroot?[edit]

what is this giant nirnroot it mentions in the article? i found the nirnroot that is shown on the map, but I dont see what's "giant" about it. Bluelf88 16:15, 12 June 2008 (EDT)

If you zoom out to 3rd-person view, you'll get a better appreciation for it. The Nirnroot here is about as tall as your character is (depending on race), where others are much smaller. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 12:54, 18 June 2008 (EDT)
