Requirements for Training?

What are the requirements to get Samuel Bantien to train you in Security? I thought it was joining the Thieves Guild, but after the guild membership quest, when speaking to him in his house, training (the Training button) is still not an available option. I am level 5, and I've already had the dialog (which I thought would be the trigger) about "You've got to speak to the right people..." Thanks, Laisren 19:28, 26 February 2008 (EST)

I think you just need to catch him at the right times. The page says he is available from 12pm to 8pm on weekdays in the IC. I have spoken to him in Green Emperor Way and been able to access the training option, without having joined the Thieves Guild. It may be that there are additional restrictions (other than the time one) on when he will offer training. --Gaebrial 03:05, 27 February 2008 (EST)

Yes, I believe that's the key: it's not just that he's available at the Green Emperor Way at those times, it's that the training option is only availabe when he's out-and-about (i.e. Training will not be offered in his off-hours at home)! Thanks, - Laisren 22:20, 28 February 2008 (EST)

Can't catch him at the Lonely Suitor

I've been hanging around the Lonely Suitor for about a week now, in-game; can we get more information on exactly when he's there, because I'm beginning to think that that part of the wiki is errant. Can anyone clarify? DarkReality 02:06, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

He sets off from the IC on the 12th of each month so he should arrive at the tavern a few hours after that. He will stay around for about a day. –rpeh^{•T•C•E•} 07:56, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
