Question[edit]

Do they respawn?--LordDagon 10:58, 29 March 2008 (EDT)

Nevermind. They do.--LordDagon 11:21, 2 April 2008 (EDT)

Mage Scholars[edit]

As mentioned in the article, one of the Mage Scholars is willing to talk to you, rather than brushing you off. Looking around in the Construction Set, it looks as though this is simply an oversight, as he is the sixth of six Mage Scholars, so the dialogue condition may simply have been missed. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 19:27, 30 April 2008 (EDT)

It is the 2nd Altmer Mage Scholar with the Weird Mohawk that talks to you.--67.34.189.176 21:59, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

Stub[edit]

I don't think thise page should be a stub any longer, if you agree, put your signature here. Ninja Hinder 10:00, 3 October 2008 (EDT)

No need. If you think that the page is not a stub anymore, you can remove the notice. However, I think that the stats and ids (only available in the CS) of the scholars are necessary. Vesna 10:18, 3 October 2008 (EDT)

Is there a stats needed template? Ninja Hinder 19:07, 3 October 2008 (EDT)

It's called a "stub". Just put {{stub|Needs NPC stats.}}. — Unsigned comment by Vesna (talkcontribs) on 4 November 2008
I did so, but it only shows up when editing the page.. Ninja Hinder 23:05, 9 November 2008 (EST)
The stub tag doesn't take a parameter so I've removed it. This is definitely still a stub: it needs stats, AI info, equipment details, and so on. –RpehTCE 03:50, 10 November 2008 (EST)

Never Ending Battle[edit]

I hit a scholar with a frenzy spell a while ago and he quickly got killed by the guards, now everytime he respawns he is immediatley attacked by the guards and killed. Is there a way to stop this because other mages keep getting involved and Gaspar almost got killed. — Unsigned comment by Manic (talkcontribs)

I guess he has an assault bounty he can't pay, not sure, if you are playing in the PC try this code: <RefID>.setcrimegold 0
Look for his RefID in the page. --Wizy 09:37, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
Easier is to click on the mage before he dies and do the setcrimegold command without the "." at the start. rpeh •TCE 13:03, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
Yh thanks for that rpeh, one problem is that my keyboard layout is different so I'm not sure how to open up the console (or activate it - is there a setting to turn on the console.) Otherwise is it worth downloading the ring of console? --Manic 20:20, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
Just press the tilde (~) key. If it's not working, then try the Ring of Console. — Unsigned comment by Rigas Papadopoulos (talkcontribs)

() Every type of keyboard has a different key but as far as I know the location is always the same, here (removed link) is a small graphic that shows where the key should be. --Wizy 22:22, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your help, but I have tried everywhere and the console just will not activate. I will have to get the ring of console instead.--Manic 22:33, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Vampire Scholars[edit]

For some reason, if I talk to the mages guild scholars at the Arcane Universety, when I look at their face by talking to them, they look like they are under the effects of vampireism. This is on the PS3 version without Shivering Isles, so I can not get a good picture.--Iamgoofball 02:58, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Could someone please answer this? I am curious if this is a bug or I am just seeing things.--Iamgoofball 03:33, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Please give us a picture as it is much harder to know if its a dunmer nope anyone else i don't know! 77.102.254.90 18:30, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

Daedric Helmet[edit]

I was messing around with a skeletons and hit it three times so all the mages started to attack it. Once it was over with I saw a Mage scholar wearing a Daedric helmet. I think. 216.145.135.95 19:19, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

It's a Bound Helmet. Not lootable, and the ability of any mage to cast it is random (dependent upon their randomly-assigned spells).--NepheleTalk 17:24, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
That's what I first thought too. However, this page says they don't have any Bound Armor spell. It only mentions two summon spells. I believe it should be two bound spells and one summon spell. I have updated the page. If I'm wrong, correct me since I'm not very familiar with Oblivion game data. Wolok gro-Barok 17:46, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
