I Found a staff once called "staff of Banishing". Don't rly know what it does though. Had invisibility 20sec, paralyze 20 sec and banish??? Don't have picture to prove it though. :(84.157.69.154 16:42, 20 September 2008 (EDT)

That staff is listed on the Staves page, along with a link to a discussion about exactly what it does. --TheRealLurlock Talk 09:53, 21 September 2008 (EDT)

Staff Glitch[edit]

I have found that having two identical staves in your inventory produces an interesting glitch which means that you never have to charge either staff. When the charge in one has been exhausted you can simply switch to the other & both will show as having full charge again. This works with the greater staff of fire, but I haven't had the chance to test it with any other staves.I also have version 1.2 of the game, so it may have been fixed in subsequent patches. 62.49.72.185 07:54, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

This glitch does work with normal weapons as well (tested with 2 shortswords of the blaze), however because normal weapons are damaged by use, they don't stay identical unless you can repair the sword you're using which is impossible in a combat situation. 62.49.72.185 07:39, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

I am sorry, but what you said makes very little sense to me. Could you explain it more clearly? Darkdoom227 07:46, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
I just tested it and I can confirm it works. Okay, let's suppose you have two identical enchanted weapons, be they staves, swords, or whatever else. If you use up the charges on one of them, simply click on the other one and the game will "merge" the two, giving back the full charge to the depleted item. In order to do this with weapons, however, both weapons must be seen as identical in every other way, which means you have to repair them both to full (although coincidentally having them at..say...75% repair might work too). Nitpickery: Staffs vs. Staves[edit]

Though I prefer "staves" myself, is there anywhere in the game that mentions "staves"? I ask because of Rindir's Staffs. If that is the only source of Staffs or Staves in the game, shouldn't the page conform to that spelling, since both are technically correct? -- /\/\oses 23:16, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

There's a jokey rumor that plays on that very fact: "Rindir's Staffs is the best place in the city to buy a magical staff. Or is it Rindir's Staves...."
Raminus Polus says "The wood used for staves comes from a grove to the northeast of the Imperial City, near Wellspring Cave."
Delmar says "Enchanting staves can be a tricky business. Only certain spells will be truly useful to you, so I'll narrow it down some."
The only times dialogue refers to "staffs" is when referring to the store. rpeh •TCE 07:14, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

Best place to find a Staff of Domination?[edit]

I play on console, so no PC commands available here. I have a level 35 warrior, not at all magically adept. However, a high-end Command Humanoid spell would be really useful. Are there any particular caves where finding a staff like this is more probable? A cave full of wizards or necromancers? --81.110.103.157 16:07, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Conjurer and necromancer dungeons should be your main target. Vampire dungeons are good as well, if you manage to find vampire mages. You could also check out Rindir's Staffs, which might have one in stock. However, if you don't have any luck finding one you could enchant your own weapon with a pretty powerful command spell. As long as you have the Frostcrag Spire plug-in that is... or if you don't mind ploughing through the first few Mages Guild quests to get into the Arcane University. Staff of Pacification[edit]

What is the chance of finding this staff? 4%?99.169.161.243 02:29, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

Staff of Submission and Staff of Legion[edit]

I know it is random loot but where is the best places to look for these staves? I need them for my generic staves (other) collection, these are the last 2! Thanks!"There is always hope"-Aragorn 11:03, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

May someone please, please, answer this question and what is the percentage of the staff being one of these two? Thank you!"There is always hope"-Aragorn 14:21, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
Please don't make "hurry up" posts like this after a couple of hours.
Both those staves are only ever held by Sings-Like-Thunder or Hears-Voices-In-The-Air, and that's it. In other words, it's really unlikely that you'll get both. rpeh •TCE 07:14, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

How to get more staves damaging attributes?[edit]

They are found very rarely. But it seems to depend on the luck attribute or how often the player uses the appropriate spells (the rest loot also depends on your actions).
