Item Levels[edit]

Removed from article:

The levels listed for the items here are wrong. I just installed the DLC at level 12 exactly and only found fine steel cutlasses on the Red Skeletons.

The levels are correct -- the lowest level at which you will possibly find a Superb Steel Cutlass is level 8, and the lowest level at which you possibly find a Masterforge Steel Cutlass is level 12. However neither of those statements implies that at level 12 you are guaranteed to find Masterforge Steel Cutlasses. --NepheleTalk 16:33, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Cutlasses and Undead[edit]

If the sharpened cutlass can harm undead, does this mean that the fine steel cutlass can as well? The article says it was just renamed. Also, do the superb and the masterforge work against undead? The masterforge is a very nice sword for a level 12, so I'd hate to see it not work. Stouf761 02:44, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

All this information is already present on the article. Yes, the Sharpened Cutlass ignores normal weapon resistances, as the relevant page already notes. Yes, the Superb and Masterforge cutlasses work too; as the article says, "All of the following weapons ignore normal weapons resistances". rpeh •TCE 10:47, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Oh my god, I cannot believe I missed that... wow... Stouf761 16:43, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Leveled shield?[edit]

I just got to level 10 and a shield showed up in one of the merchants inventories. The shield was "Shield of the Tiger Fang" and had a reflect damage enchantment. It was fur as well. Just thought I would post to let it be known--Raleka 09:32, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

This is already noted here. --Darkle ~ Talk 12:32, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
Do you mean one of the dunbarrow cove merchants is selling the shield? Or did you find it on the merchant himself, in which case I am confused as to why this is in the dunbarrow cove items section. dtm 00:23, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
It was a random levelled shield. You're not guaranteed to find it for sale. Legoless 00:36, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

At level 17 and the lower level arrows aren't appearing on Melliwin[edit]

I specifically waited to install this later so that I could get the better cutlasses from the skeletons. Then to try and get all the arrows, I waited 3 days far away, came back, saved outside the entrance, and checked her inventory and loaded again to see what else she would sell. She only carries arrows of lassitude/apathy and 2 other enchanted arrows from the ammunition page (sometimes only 3 enchanted arrows and no lassitude/apathy). I assumed this wouldn't be a problem because merchants still sell fur/iron weapons/armor at high levels. Can anyone confirm? This is very frustrating, as I am on the xbox, and was looking forward to having an arrow that could stun. I've tried dozens of times and I assume it has something to do with the fact that those arrows appear at level 1 (iron) and I am level 17. Perhaps someone can check the leveled lists while I keep on re-loading (probably in vain). dtm 09:10, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

For the Collector/Museum Curator Gamer: 3 different Cutlasses[edit]

Suppose a player wanted to collect an example of each levelled Cutlass, appearing at lvls 4, 8, and 12.

If you enter Dunbarrow Cove and kill a Skeleton or two to grab their Cutlasses, (without killing all of them to complete the aquisition/ownership quest), and then leave, will the slain Skeletons "reset" after 72 hours, or are they permanently removed from the game because they are quest-related? I was hoping to revisit the Cove at different levels to grab examples of each unique Cutlass. 76.11.81.207 01:19, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
