Lvl 25 demoralize[edit]

Does a lvl 25 demoralize spell work on anything? Because i remember using a demoralize up to lvl 25 spell on guards and having no result...--Willyhead 13:50, 30 July 2007 (EDT)

That's what tests have shown: that "up to level 25" spells clearly work on creatures/NPCs that are much higher than level 25. As for guards, they start with pretty high confidence, so it's possible that while this spell lowers their confidence, it doesn't scare them enough to make them run. I'd say you should first test with a low level character (i.e., a character who is much less than level 15, ensuring that the guards are less than 25) and see whether demoralize works at that point. --NepheleTalk 14:36, 30 July 2007 (EDT)
I have not tested it on any NPCs, but at lvl 47 i cast an 'Up Lvl 25' demoralize on a minotaur Lord and it had no effect on the creature whatsoever, however it did work on certain low lvl creatures such as rats and mudcrabs.--Willyhead 16:37, 30 July 2007 (EDT)

Demoralize vs. Calm[edit]

Why is there no page for Confidence? Is it not an attribute like Aggression? What are the mechanics of a demoralize/rally spell? What would be the advantages or disadvantages of using calm as opposed to demoralize? --216.55.218.199 13:08, 20 March 2009 (EDT)

I'm fairly certain demoralize makes the enemy run while calm just makes the enemy unable to fight. I don't know if "confidence" is an attribute, though. Perhaps it falls under one of the other attributes but I can't say for sure.

Calm makes a target stand still. It's useful in areas where your target may move in a way that's difficult to target them. Calm is broken on attack, however. 24.80.166.34 12:33, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Demoralize Stacking[edit]

If you use a bow that has say demoralize up to level 5 and an arrow with demoralize up to level 3, will it work on a level eight? The WurmTalk 18:10, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
