I've killed delphine and marc i believe because they are no longer around. Is there any way i can still use the master trainer? — Unsigned comment by 68.47.104.104 (talk)

Nope. There are consequences if you indiscriminately kill NPCs. --NepheleTalk 12:54, 18 July 2007 (EDT)

haha yea i kinda figured. anyhow, thanks for the reply

Her ponder item[edit]

It crashes the game. — Unsigned comment by 68.60.226.203 (talk)

Not for most players. --NepheleTalk 23:46, 4 August 2007 (EDT)
Non-GOTY updated 360 version here, no addons-- it crashes. 98.246.50.78 23:53, 30 May 2009 (EDT)

It only crashes the game if you drop it on the Xbox 360, if you drop it on any other gaming system it will appear as a big yellow Diamond with an Exclamation Point in the middle of it, you can walk through it as if it weren't there. --Dremora Lord 04:04, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

Enemies explode[edit]

is there any way at all to make your own version of enemies explode spell? using two diffrent variations of the same effect. i.e Fire damage 10pts 5ft 1sec and 5pts 10ft 1sec. — Unsigned comment by 84.70.211.140 (talk) on 27 August 2008

You can make any spell you like at a spellmaking altar once you have gained access to Arcane University, but you won't be able to call it "Enemies Explode" because obviously that spell already exists. –RpehTCE 01:19, 27 August 2008 (EDT)

NPC mages guild spell vendors.[edit]

Ive notices that almost all spell vendors in the mages guilds are considered to be selling them at random times throughout the day. This is untrue, if you pay attention, the different spell vendors actually sell spells during the day when they are in certain rooms, or if they aren't reading a book or mixing potions. If they aren't selling them when you want to buy them, wait for them to walk to another room or when they stop doing something.

No. All NPC behaviour is governed by AI packages. Between 8am and 8pm, Delphine has a choice of 5 packages. There is a 10% chance she will be practicing destruction spells, then three different 25% chances that she will be contemplating her Ponder Item - each at a different place. In none of those four places will she offer services. Only if all four of those chances fail will she pick her "wander" package, where she offers services. That means a chance of about 38% that she will offer services between those times. Of course, if you talk to her and then end the conversation she will pick a different package, which might cause her to offer services.
When we finally start on the Oblivion NPC Redesign Project this sort of thing will be spelled out in greater detail, but for now please believe that when we say "random", it's not just that nobody has bothered to check. –RpehTCE 08:08, 30 August 2008 (EDT)

Her Attacks[edit]

Does she actually cast Enemies Explode to attack you?

Also, if it hits other guild members, will they attack her? and expel her? — Unsigned comment by 64.195.1.61 (talk) on 6 May 2009

Yes, she has Enemies Explode in her spell list and therefore might use it to attack you, though she might also use any other spell that she has. Because of the on-area effect, I think that other guild members would attack her, although only the player can be expelled from guilds. This does need a bit more in-game testing, however. --SerCenKing Talk 07:26, 9 May 2009 (EDT)
No she will not use the spell to attack you. She cannot cast the spell because her skill level and magicka is too low.--Corevette789 23:37, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

In-game schedule[edit]

SerC, I have a feeling the schedule will be a lot easier to write, if you have the in-game times to look at:

  • 9am: Gets out of bed, heads down to ground floor. (yes, it's 9am, I've double-checked)
  • 9am-8pm: Here it get's tricky. As Rpeh mentions above, she have at least three fixpoints, where she will stand still on the ground floor; Next to the stairs, next to Ardaline's room and next to the entrance to the dining area. Most of the time, she will assume a "thinking" position (her finger on her chin) and those are the times she will offer her services. When she's just standing around doing nothing, there's no services to get. As she does her "thinking" a LOT, it's more than safe to assume that these times are safe for service - as long as it's mentioned in the notes.
  • 8pm: Eats in the dining area - no services.
  • 10pm: Wanders around, offers services all the time.
  • Midnight: Goes to bed.
  • I never saw her cast a destruction spell, but if the chance is only 10%, it could just be a coincidence.

For good measure, here's the inventory; Blue Velvet Outfit, Gold Trimmed Shoes, huge amount of gold. And that <Missing Name> item as well.Krusty 09:36, 9 May 2009 (EDT)

Thanks Krusty! That will make writing the schedule today much easier! --SerCenKing Talk 05:22, 10 May 2009 (EDT)

About Enemies Explode[edit]

Recently added to the page : "Delphine is the creator of the Enemies Explode spell although she is only a journeyman on destruction and the spell is a Master one, still. she can cast the spell." Bad wording aside, is this true? --DKong27 Talk Cont 23:23, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

I don't think she can actually cast the spell. I have never seen her use it and she probably not be able to--Corevette789 23:28, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
Seems like it would be easy enough to test on PC...I wish I could. The topic has come up before (see above) but wasn't really answered there. --DKong27 Talk Cont 23:31, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
According to the CS, her destruction is 51, and her magicka is only 170, so she won't cast it. --Arch-Mage MattTalk 23:35, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
Oblivion is filled to the brink with stuff like this - if we should mention every "plot-hole" in the game, the wiki would explode. I removed the note. She might have invented the spell, but that doesn't necessarily mean she can cast it. --Krusty 17:55, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Delphine's Hair[edit]

Is there a mod To change You and an NPC'S hair? Cirith Mara 22:20, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Try looking on TESNExus, we're not a mod forum. --SerCenKing Talk 14:56, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
