Items Dissapear from owned house[edit]

I have pc version of the game, i live in the Rosethorn hall. I decided to decorate my house by placing everything that is important to me on tables and in display cases, I saved my game after doing so and went to gather more stuff to place in my house. I come back and enter my house to see that everything set out in the open has vanished. I wasnt happy so i simply loaded the save i made before i left the house.. but once loaded everything is still gone. So my question is, why is this happening to me? i have bought everything in the house possible, and from past experiance no matter what house i put my stuff in, it ALWAYS vanishes. please help — Unsigned comment by 76.253.100.103 (talk) at 19:19 on 5 September 2011

On Skeletons as Containers[edit]

When using skeletons as containers on the PS3 version and taking the the skull or some other part with me for ease of storage I've noticed that, after a certain distance from the main body, the part in question will start to fade until invisible. If someone could confirm that this happens in the other versions, and is not just some strange quirk of my game, it may be worth adding to the article as a caveat. 67.190.217.163 19:56, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

Confirmed. PC version here. --ManaUser 09:00, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

Weynon Priory[edit]

I found that once I stored items in the chest by Jauffre's desk, the were saved, and I have been doing that since the beginning of the game. So we should be sure to add this to the list of safe storage containers. — Unsigned comment by 98.19.49.3 (talk) at 05:09 on 19 December 2011

It's already there. Robin Hoodtalk 00:50, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Agarmir's house has at least one safe container[edit]

After killing Agarmir I thought of using his home as my own until I bought one. The chest immediately to the left when entering his home (across from the foot of his stairs) was used to store several stolen items and potions and has remained filled with these ever since- no resetting.

I have not checked any other containers in his home. — Unsigned comment by 24.57.40.18 (talk) at 16:00 on 15 January 2012

You're right. I've added that info to the page. Robin Hoodtalk 21:12, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Bravia -- free, safe storage[edit]

In Bravia there's a chest near the thieves' guild fence. If looking at her door, turn right 90degrees and you'll see a flat roof across the gap created by the staircase. There's a chest sitting in the corner that I've been using for a few days now (real life days that is) that hasn't respawned on me (well, yet anyway, knock on wood. lol) — Unsigned comment by 12.25.54.192 (talk) at 17:12 on 6 February 2012

Yes, that chest is safe. For those who can't find it, it's one floor up from the entrance to The Archer's Paradox in Bravil. There's another one above the entrance to A Warlock's Luck as well. Robin Hoodtalk 19:51, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Containers only containing 66 gold or Weak Healing Potions[edit]

It seems my game has gone to crap :( I've ran through about 2 or 3 caves, a plane of oblivion, and now doing main quests and all my chests only contain either 66 gold or 1 weak potion of healing. That's it! Even boss chests! Anyone else have this happen to them? — Unsigned comment by 71.101.90.123 (talk) on 6 March 2012

Vicente's Chest[edit]

I'm pretty sure that Vicente Valiteri's chest in the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary is safe, so long as you have access to the building. I've kept stuff in there for extended periods of time and nothing ever reset.

Alval Uvani's House: A Little Safe Storage[edit]

I did some checking on Alval Uvani's house in Leyawiin, that dark elf you kill during the dark brotherhood quest line. Most containers are not safe; but all the chests on the ground floor are safe for storage. One chest in the basement, the one with the round top, not the flat top chest, is safe for storage. The upstairs chest is not safe for storage, but the hidden wall safe behind the picture frame in Alval's room is safe. — Unsigned comment by 64.254.52.78 (talk) at 10:43 on 9 May 2015

counters in mages guilds[edit]

After playing nearly a thousand hours in oblivion, I only just noticed that the counter containers you find in the mages guild actually have two sides! Just wondering if this is common knowledge.FIrst mate Malvulis (talk) 14:32, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
