Hand to hand skeleton[edit]

A while ago I was doing the necromancers amulet quest, when I reached Caranya and I demanded the necromancers amulet back, she summoned a skeleton hero with no weapon, attacking by clawing at me, is this simply a one-off bug or is there anything that might have caused this Andil the mage 18:35, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

Well it is possible for a skeleton to fight hand to hand. But there must have broke or been removed somehow. Why the would of spawn without one though I don't know? --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 19:20, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

Caranya schedule reboot[edit]

I just found out something interesting: If you use the Skull of Corruption on Caranya after she starts attacking you in "The Necromancer's Amulet" and use the associated glitch to take the amulet from the Corrupted Clone's corpse, and then leave Fort Ontus without killing the real Caranya, she will leave the fort and go back to the Arcane University once the questline's finished (when Mannimarco is dead), and resume her original schedule. Though she doesn't seem to have the Mages Guild Key anymore, since she has trouble entering the Mage Quarters to go to sleep. This was demonstrated on the Xbox 360 version. Seems like an oversight by the developers who didn't think of duplicating the Amulet via the Skull of Corrpution and therefore didn't change her behaviour after the questline as she should be dead. I don't think it's noteworthy. -- SarthesArai Talk 10:51, 28 December 2014 (GMT)
I'm sorry, but how is that not "noteworthy"? I mean, how often would an NPC go back to a previously removed schedule if they aren't killed like they're supposed to? I mean, Falcar doesn't go back to Cheydinhal if you pickpocket the Colossal Black Soul Gem from his inventory and leave without killing him during "Ambush", and we mention the schedule for Lorkmir, who's dead from the start of the game and can only be revived with Mods or Console commands, which are only available on the PC version. If the problem is that you don't believe it works, then by all means, play the game and see if the same works for you, too. I know it sounds far-fetched, but I know for certain that it's for real.Bauglir100 (talk) 22:55, 28 December 2014 (GMT)
The purpose of NPC articles is to provide information about characters in the games, such as their backgrounds and how they influence gameplay. On this wiki, we try to include information that's accurate and verifiable, so we don't typically list information from glitches that users would have to go out of their way to find. While this is an interesting bit of trivia, trivia isn't appropriate for an encyclopedia article, so it's not really the kind of thing that's worth listing here.
