Isn't it a bit weird that the "greatest wizard in all of Cyrodil" is a Redguard? Gmotj 05:41, 23 February 2009 (EST)

Why would it be a problem? While Redguard mages are rare, nothing prevents them from becoming powerful. Since Morrowind, TES has completely done away with restrictions based on race and class. (Actually, given that they do not have any racial bonus to spellcasting skills, they can progress farther in the ways of magic that they can in the ways of combat, given how experience in Morrowind and Oblivion works: the lower your primary skills are, the more skill increases you can obtain in them before you reach the cap of 100, and therefore the more levels you can gain from them.) --Gez 06:13, 23 February 2009 (EST)

Notes on the schedule[edit]

I think the schedule could use a bit of un-wandering. Why? Because Borissean doesn't move a bit the entire day. After waking up, he'll find a spot on the ground floor and stand still. To be precise, on that big yellow-pattern thing on the floor (I tried to push him away from it, but he just returned to the same spot). And he will stand still from he wakes up until he goes to bed again. The only points of interest was when Gaspar Stegine or one of the Mage Apprentice's approached him for a short talk every once in a while. Other than that, nothing. Krusty 19:11, 21 April 2009 (EDT)

Confirmed. It's not that he doesn't have anything else to do, it's that the standing-by-the-pattern package is his default. NPCs will always use their last package as a default unless it has a time restriction on it. –RpehTCE 15:21, 22 April 2009 (EDT)
With a few minor exceptions, I think this page is ready to be finished off;
* The page states, that "he sleeps from 2am to 9am and then heads to the University's Praxographical Center" - it's true, but maybe it should be a bit clearer, that he sleeps right above the Center, in the "Praxographical Center Upper Level".
* I cant squeeze his first greeting out of him, no matter how hard I try. On the other hand, I've met him hundreds of times during normal gameplay and he might be on of those NPCs that will greet you only once.
* The faction thing is for PC users only, and should be checked by another PC user.
Other than that, this guy is REALLY close. Krusty 07:04, 23 April 2009 (EDT)

Magicka[edit]

Most of the spells he sells cost a high amount of magicka, how is he able to use these spells for battle as the article states when his magicka is less than the magicka cost of the spells? — Unsigned comment by 96.41.4.209 (talk)

The cost shown for the spells is, as the notes state, the magicka cost when your skill level is 33. As a level 30 mage, his skill level in all of the magic skills will be closer to 100 than 33, so the spells will cost a lot less magicka for him to cast. In fact, if his skill level is 100, they will cost 1/5th of the listed cost. --Gaebrial 07:10, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Reputation[edit]

Him and his partner are considered "The Greatest Mages in Cyrodiil." But it only says that on Gaspar's page, On Borrissean's page. It says HE, as himself. Is the greatest mage in Cyrodiil. Shianni 18:59, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Shianni, you don't need to bring up all inconsistencies on the talk pages, just correct them where you see them. --AKB Talk 19:02, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Umm...I didn't want to correct them, I pointed it out. But, ok. Shianni 19:04, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
