Does anyone know their statistics?--LordDagon 11:16, 26 January 2008 (EST) Can you get more than one to follow you at a time? -Dane
- Yes i had the same question an i think if you have more than one eventually
they will leave your party till you have only one left thats how it worked for me if anyone thinks im incorrect please correct im not completly sure.
Does the second castellan ( the one you get if Athon is killed ) respawn?--LordDagon 11:16, 26 January 2008 (EST)
- Yes. You can hire a potentially infinite number of replacements. --Rpeh•T•C•E• 04:24, 17 November 2007 (EST)
- Thanks. Another question: what spells can they cast? I saw the breton using a shield spell, but not the others.--lordDagon
- I don't see them having a shield spell. All the MAA and the Castellan(s) have the Leveled Spell list "LL2Knight100", which means they get leveled Chameleon, Invisibility and Silence spells. But I'm not going to put that in the article until someone with better CS skills than me (almost anybody!) verifies it. --Rpeh•T•C•E• 11:07, 17 November 2007 (EST)

Page revamp[edit]
I've added the Npc tables here, like i did at the Knight of the Nine, but made a small mistake. The redguard has the ID of the second Imperial. Could anyone adjust that please? (I've got no idea how to find it again without the CS)--LordDagon 11:16, 26 January 2008 (EST)
- In a case like that, you can always pull up the previous version of the page in the page history (just click the "history" tab at the top of any page). That's how I got the info, since I don't have access to the Battlehorn Castle esp file right now ;) --NepheleTalk 13:17, 26 January 2008 (EST)
- Aha, didn't know that. Thanks Nephele, i've learned a new trick! ;)--LordDagon 04:54, 28 January 2008 (EST)
Castellan[edit]
My Battlethorn Castellan died, but i cant buy another replacement for him. Whats going on? — Unsigned comment by 24.214.108.15 (talk)
- A new one will be spawned in his place, but he'snot quite as powerful as the original. Volanaro 02:34, 23 March 2008 (EDT)
no its been quite a while ive never gotten a new one or the option to buy one. — Unsigned comment by 24.214.108.15 (talk)

- It doesn't actually spawn, you need to buy his 'services' from nilphas olmellian. If he dies, you just need to re-buy him from olmellian. --LordDagon 12:00, 21 April 2008 (EDT)
My Original Castellan died, I bought another from Nilphas. That one died, it's been "Monthes" but Nilphas isn't offering his "services" anymore.
Weapon and Armor Repair?[edit]
Do they and any other followers such at a Knight of the Nine automatically have their gear repaired(or respawned)after fast travelling acertain many times or am I just seeing things and completly out of luck when they lose their stuff?
- This could do with answering in the more general case too - for instance, Fighters Guild members, guards and so on. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 05:02, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
- Well I just did a test with one of the battlehorn followers. I put a command humanoid spell on one of them and then I cast corrode weapon on him. Then I saved my game. After I killed him with a fire spell and checked the condition of his weapon which was at 83. I then reloaded the save and fast traveled to North Country Stables and killed him there. When I checked his weapon it was at 100. I did the same test with a mage apprentice who had a enchanted dagger of disintegration. I had the same results as the earlier test. So fast traveling does restore a weapon to 100. I'll try to figure out how to test if a guards weapon is restored with fast traveling I guess. -Burlin
Im pretty sure if it works on other npcs then it should work on guards. if i can get access to a high enough command humanoin spell ill try it
- Okay. I put god mode on and disintegrated a MAA's armor and weapon completely (using tdt to check when). I then yielded to him to stop the combat. I left the cell and waiting for 96 hours but his armor never repaired. I leveled up and immediately, his weapon was restored to 100% health. Then, when I went back to the castle, his armor was restored to 100% too. In other words, items are repaired when you level up. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 13:40, 1 September 2008 (EDT)
So Could I...?[edit]
Can I reverse-pickpocket more powerful weapons and armor to these guys (I'm talking about permanent bound armor), or do they keep using their current armor? I understand I'll have to redistribute the armor if they die. --Zirakseez 17:50, 5 December 2008 (EST)
amour[edit]
can you buy them beter amour? colton
No, you can't give them armor that you bought, but you can give them permanent bound armor (trough pickpocket) although you will need to enchant it so they can wear it instead of their defeault armor. If you want to know how to create permanent bound armor you can consult this page.--S'drassa 03:52, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Hmmm...[edit]
When I walk past either the redguard battlehorn man-at-arms, Talan or Castellan Athon they almost ALWAYS say I like what i see in a strange way, i was wondering if they might be confusing my MALE character for a FEMALE character because to be honest it is rather strange if they aren't....--VergilSparda 16:35, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- No all the redguards say that to both female and male characters. I have encountered this many times, and yes it's kind of weird :S --MC• S'drassa •T2M 16:39, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks :)--VergilSparda 16:41, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
Corpse-Checking[edit]
It says that the MAA can corpse-check - but I've been wondering. What exactly IS corpse-checking and how does it benefit the game?
- When they see a body or just have killed one, then they go to it an lean down, checking if it's dead. It's what the Imperial Watch does, and it's just cool, it has no benefit. :) --Arch-Mage MattTalk 15:43, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
Bounty[edit]
I was screwing experimenting about in Anvil, and a BCMAA died after killing a guard... now when he respawns he still has a bounty. Is there anyway to stop this or give him about 1040 gold so he can pay off his bounty? (XBox) --Arch-Mage MattTalk 23:50, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- Its Impossible for an npc to pay off a fine, the guards just attack them until either one is killed--VergilSparda 23:52, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, :p , they confront the NPC for a breif moment, and if the NPC has enough gold to pay off their bounty, the guard will confiscate it. Otherwise, it's stabbity-stab-kill-kill time. --Arch-Mage MattTalk 03:50, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- Well seeing as you can't put any gold on him, I say just tell him to wait somewhere near guards so they can kill him quick and he will just respawn there.--Corevette789 03:56, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- He respawns with his bounty!--Arch-Mage MattTalk 03:58, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, I know. By that I meant he is pretty much useless now so just let him get killed over and over.--Corevette789 04:00, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- Too bad. I liked him. --Arch-Mage MattTalk 15:52, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

- You could give him the gold through bribes, then draw your weapon was his disposition is maxed or attack him then yeild.173.72.137.194 03:21, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

Who many NPCs can you have?[edit]
How many NPCs can you have at one time besides the Dark Brotherhood horse?
- If you mean followers, this should go onto the Followers talk page, and Shadowmere is a creature not an NPC...--VergilSparda 21:25, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
Weird Glitch[edit]
I was at the courtyard of the castle and I saw an Imperial Man-at-Arms. When I approached him he told me "Greetings citizen." I striked him and he automatically talked to me with his usual "Follow Me" and "Return to your duties" dialog. I told him to return to his duties and right after he exited conversation he pulled his sword and attacked me. I started fighting him and during the fight he said "You should have payed the fine!". As far as I know, he is not in any Imperial Legion faction that could give him the dialog. I am not using any unofficial mods. Any ideas of what might happened? --Rigas Papadopoulos Do you need anything? 14:32, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
Confirm bug please?[edit]
Recently I gave my Battlehorn Men-At-Arms full Daedric armor, and a torch. However after I return to the castle after some time they all have reset inventories.
Can someone please confirm this? My guess is that they are on the list of 73-hour container refresh, or that there is a bug with fast-traveling that causes them to respawn or reset their inventories.
The Battlehorn Castellian named character, however, has his inventory. Which leads me to the assumption that non-named characters do not have a saved inventory? Meaning Guards, the DB Murderer, Filler-Knights from NotN dlc and the Men-At-Arms will all lose the items you attempt to give to them. Again, Confermation and/or a possible solutuion would be appreciated.--Freefall197 22:06, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
- I am unable to test the DB Murderer, or the men-at-arms, and i am unsure what guards you are talking about, but i will happily test the annoying fan and the KOTN kights as I am playing on the console and have yet to beat DB.--Iamgoofball 22:14, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
-
- The Guards as in any random city guard, since they all share the same name rather than a specific character name. So I assume they are all generic, as they do respawn. So guards/npcs that are able to respawn would have their inventories reset, is my guess. Sorry for the confusion.--Freefall197 00:39, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

- They probably reset if they're not waiting or following. So Equiuping Castellan and one other and telling him to wait is the best you'll get. I havent tested yet I tried doing the same thing once and got the same results and gave up. But I'll have a look again, on 360. Datacaust 01:49, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

- Got around to testing this, gave everyone in the castle gear and a DB murderer that I have waiting there. All the named characters keep the gear on but the Battlehorn-men-at-arms and murderer's inventories reset after I waited three days in Chorrol and returned. This even happened to the man-at-arms that I told to wait by the dwemer forge, who was waiting there in his regular armour when I returned. Not cool. Having your orc trainer in daedric armour looks cool though. Datacaust 05:25, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

- Yeah, my Castallian(or however you spell it) is in Daedric, along with the trainer. I gave all of the castle workers(the wine guy, statue and servent, along with the cook) all black robes and black hoods though. I wish the game was just a tad more customizable =P --Freefall197 15:19, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

(←) This seems to be a bug affecting all nameless characters, so I'm reccomending any further discussion about this be held at the followers page. Datacaust 19:56, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Battlehorn Castellan Category[edit]
He's not listed in Oblivion:NPCs or Oblivion:People. Datacaust 05:25, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- Time for Datacaust to do some editing. Looks like Rpeh's blood pressure is going up. Datacaust 16:11, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- Every time I edit something I picture you screaming at your monitor. You just seem tense. Datacaust 17:26, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- Not at all, although I wish people would stop making "There's something wrong" posts instead of just fixing things themselves. It's a wiki. The whole purpose of making it a wiki was so everyone could edit. rpeh •T•C•E• 17:30, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- True enough. On topic though I think Battlehorn Castellan should go on Oblivion:NPCs, because he respawns and has a title instead of a name, but I don't know what the rule is. Datacaust 17:39, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, it definitely belongs there. I've made the edit. Legoless 17:44, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
