Easter Egg?[edit]

Caracatus Potts was the name of the eccentric hero inventor of Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang by Ian Fleming (movie with Dick van Dyke). Lived in a converted windmill tower? in the movie I think. --Wrye 22:49, 12 May 2007 (EDT)

Caractacus [1] was also a Celtic chieftain who fought the invading romans in Britain.
Also there is a hill in Shropshire called Caer Caradoc [2] wich is welsh for Caractacus' fort. (Re-arrange those two words for a possible easter egg...)--Willyhead 10:14, 31 August 2007 (EDT)

Nice Picture[edit]

I could not help but notice that Ancotar is quite visible in the picture. I know that this is very helpful to readers, but it is a little misleading. What is the alternative, you ask? A picture that is seemingly devoid of a subject? Yes, less informative, but closer to the truth— and much more funny.

I'll admit, looking up this article for the first time, I was expecting a picture of a blank wall.— Unsigned comment by Dark Spark (talkcontribs)

Schedule[edit]

I'm about 90% sure, that he doesn't exist in the game, before the Zero Visibility quest has been started. And if he is, he's definately not at Fort Caractacus. Can anybody look through the CS once again and confirm if this is true or not - and make the necessary changes to the schedule? Krusty 04:09, 31 May 2009 (EDT)

I've just done a search of fort caractacus with detect life and he's definitely not there — Unsigned comment by Baenlin (talkcontribs) on 31 May 2009
He starts the game disabled and is enabled at quest stage 20. --NepheleTalk 13:50, 31 May 2009 (EDT)
Just checked in the CS, the schedule now on the page is correct: I got messed up with before the quest and after the quest! --SerCenKing Talk 12:57, 1 June 2009 (EDT)

More talk[edit]

shouldent it say about what he says to you if you use the reverse invisiblilty spell on him.--(Theblack7 17:29, 31 May 2010 (UTC))

You are right, we might as well include that since we include everything else. I'll try and add it in a few days. --Krusty 11:08, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Ring?[edit]

Does anything notable happen if you *don't* wear his ring while casting the Reverse Invisibility? --99.226.147.128 13:52, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Check out the quest page. --SerCenKing Talk 13:59, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Picture[edit]

Would it be possible to have a picture of Antocar while invisible, but shown by means of a detect life spell?--TheAlbinoOrcany_questions? 20:02, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Why do you want that?
TheEnigmaticMan You would speak with me?My handiwork 00:12, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
To show him before and after the quest. Also because at present inexperienced users may look for a completely visible Antocar.--TheAlbinoOrcany_questions? 08:15, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

Staff bug[edit]

During the quest, if you attack him and he casts bound (mace? or some other weapon?), you can then yield to him and then pickpocket his staff since he no longer has it equipped. If you do this and wait about twenty seconds, the bound weapon will disappear, and a new staff will appear on his back. However, he will never use this staff as a weapon, and as far as I can tell, does not actually have it in his inventory.--208.125.84.48 17:48, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

actual death[edit]

Ancotar actually dies at the point you did the reversal invisibility scroll , should we add or edit that? Carlangelo200 18:43, 18 April 2011

No he doesn't. He might have been killed by the invisible wildlife while you were away. Legoless 18:45, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
oh, thanks anyways Carlangelo200 18:47, 18 April 2011 (UTC)Carlangelo200

Bug[edit]

I killed him after the quest to see if he had any spell scrolls, but I forgot he was a member of the mages guild, so I re-loaded and he was still invisible- except for his hood. His head was still invisible and so was his body and robe. Now everytime I see him its just a floating hood. Has this happened to anyone else and should it be listed in the bugs? — Unsigned comment by 74.82.64.19 (talk) at 20:43 on 31 October 2011

I can't precisely validate it, but it's not important enough to include in the article. elliot (talk) 21:23, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
That sounds like a one-off. If Ancotar's hood becomes visible everytime someone reloades a previous save, you'd think this issue was much more common. Wolok gro-Barok 21:48, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
