Baragon at Cloud Ruler Temple

Baragon is a Breton Blade who resides at Cloud Ruler Temple in the Jerall Mountains north of Bruma.

He wears a full set of Blades armor. He is armed with an Akaviri dai-katana and carries a brown shirt, tan linens, some ale, a Manual of Arms book and a small amount of gold. While the other Blades will protect Martin with their lives, Baragon doesn't really do anything useful in the Temple and tends to relax all day long, preferably in the Great Hall. He sleeps in the bedroll area in the West Wing between midnight and 4am. After waking up he strolls aimlessly around in the Great Hall until 9am when he pulls out his copy of Manual of Arms and sits down in front of the huge fireplace. He puts the book down at 7pm then finds himself another seat in the Great Hall and enjoys a long dinner before his bedtime. At the end of Blood of the Divines, Baragon's favorite chair will be moved away from the fireplace, to make room for Martin's various devices; Baragon will then be forced to do his reading closer to the door leading to the West Wing.

Upon being greeted, he will always tell you he's too busy to speak with you and will point you to other Blades with one of these three randomly selected rejections:

  • "Please forgive me, but I'm afraid I haven't got time to talk right now. One of the other Blades should be able to assist you. Try Jena or Steffan."
  • "Sorry, but I'm too busy to talk right now. Try one of the other Blades. Perhaps Roliand or Cyrus?"
  • "I haven't time to talk right now, I'm afraid. But I'm sure one of the other Blades can help. Try speaking with Belisarius, or Caroline."
