Sparing Elmussa[edit]

It says "If you let Elmussa escape, then tell Helvi the truth, he will be surprised, but still reward you (though less greatly)", but this is contradicted under Rewards, which shows a payoff of 1000 gold for admitting the truth, and only 500 for claiming to have killed her (which sounds like you'd benefit *more* by coming clean). Can we get verification on what the actual outcome is for each resolution? 75.58.156.188 22:16, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

I've rewritten that section to explain exactly what happens. I agree it wasn't very clear. rpeh •TCE 09:41, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Huge problem[edit]

For some reason I'm having major difficulties finding the house in Caldera. I've begun to suspect it being rid of by some random mod I'm using but there could still be more specific details on where to go. 88.194.21.147 18:39, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Have you looked on the Caldera map? --Brf 23:47, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
This may help. rpeh •TCE 07:05, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Sympathetic Khajiits[edit]

GoTY Xbox, just about every khajiit I've talked to, including slaves, are sad about the fact I killed Elmussa. This has also stopped me from joining the Thieve's Guild, as they say I don't meet requirements. Is here any way to fix this? — Unsigned comment by 99.162.157.30 (talk) on 13 December 2010

It shouldn't stop you joining. You've got to have at least 30 Agility and 30 Personality to join though. rpeh •TCE 08:06, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Master Thief[edit]

I had already completed the Thieves Guild quests when I was given this quest. As I was the Master Thief, Elmussa immediately confessed, told me to look in the small chest by her window and handed me a key to the chest, before suggesting I lie to Helvi. The key to her chest was also the Abebaal slave key. Presumably Elmussa is also an abolitionist. Obviously, I didn't turn her in. I have to take care of my guild, now don't I? --82.2.124.20 02:34, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

If I tell Crassius the truth...[edit]

If I tell Crassius the truth, that Elmussa stole the contracts, does it count as me betraying her and do I lose disposition with the Thieves' Guild? It's not very clear in the walkthrough, and I can't really tell if I save and reload the game. Is there a way to check quickly by saving/reloading and seeing the effects?
