On Xbox, goty, I encountered an error in this quest where everyone in the Mages Guild, including the owner of the staff, told me who had the staff, forcing me to taunt and kill her to get it. Odul 21:21, 22 April 2008 (EDT)

I was having this problem. A bit annoyed I went into the construction set to find out why. It turns out it's a bit of a scripting oversight by the writers; to make sure you can't buy it, the question will only appear if you have enough money, but instead of just the option to buy it the whole peice of dialogue isn't available, so she says the bit for all mages guild members instead. I tested this by creating enough money for myself and the option instantly appears. I'll add this to the bugs. The Greatness 11:08, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
