Pickpocketing Shotherra[edit]

I can in fact, pickpocket clothing from Shotherra that she is wearing; I have her half-naked right now, and she seems oblivious to that, as well as to my repeated attempts. Any other NPC would have attacked me long ago.

However, the article seems more or less correct in that I cannot find the Sanguine item through the pickpocket interface, and therefore cannot pickpocket it. Downstrike (talk) 23:46, 28 February 2013 (GMT)

Okay? Are you suggesting a change? Or just commenting? I'm slightly confused.... Jeancey (talk) 23:52, 28 February 2013 (GMT)
Just as a note, I tried just now, and she attacked me when I tried to take anything. Are you using any mods? I know that the MCP changes how pickpocketing works. If that is affecting it, then it should not be added here. Jeancey (talk) 00:01, 1 March 2013 (GMT)
I actually made a change to the article when I wrote that, but I see that my change isn't there, and... Oh, I see now that you undid my revision. I was confused by that because my Watchlist seems to think you did that BEFORE you asked if I was suggesting a change.
My pickpocketing success would have been due to abnormally high Agility and Luck stats that I casted and potioned for. Even so, I can't picture her NEVER noticing my pickpocketing, which was how it seemed after at least 20 tries. Downstrike (talk) 06:01, 6 March 2013 (GMT)
Prior to the MCP, pickpocketing was almost entirely based on luck, with your sneak skill never coming into it at all. With the MCP, sneak is factored in, which means that at high sneak levels you can almost always succeed in pickpocketing. Now, in terms of being able to steal the item from her, there is a possibility that you cannot steal quest items from people, but I would have to do some research about that... I think that the NEVER noticing your stealing is from the MCP, because when I turned it off, she noticed me every time (with moderate sneak) and with it on, she only noticed around a third of the time.
