Sneak Bug[edit]

I experienced the fargoth sneak bug on xbox many times. It lasted the whole game. 174.56.45.163 03:58, 21 June 2013 (GMT)AveryMajere

Yes☑ Done. I changed the bug to confirmed. Jeancey (talk) 06:23, 21 June 2013 (GMT)

Just started a new game and experienced the bug. :I could fix it by loading my autosave from the waiting on top of the tower. :Might be interesting enough to add to the article, someone should confirm though if this happenes everytime and not just for me. Fargoth[edit]

  • If you refuse the quest Fargoth will have 1000 gold.

This was reported as false on IRC. There is no mention of this anywhere else and the edit in question was by an anonymous user and it was never patrolled. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 01:27, 9 March 2014 (GMT)

Fargoth's Death[edit]

I have confirmed the bug regarding the quest becoming unfinishable if Fargoth dies before you tell Hrisskar about the stash. Checking in the Construction Set, the first entry in Hrisskar's dialogue for the topic Fargoth's hiding place is:

You killed the little runt? I don't know what you were thinking. He was a source of good income for me. If anyone asks, I don't know you.

This entry only checks if Fargoth is dead and Journal MS_Lookout >= 10; if both of these conditions are true, you will only get this dialogue from Hrisskar and he will never acknowledge that you have found the hiding place (since that dialogue entry comes after this one in the dialogue list). This will happen if Fargoth dies at any point after Hrisskar mentions the quest (quest stage 10); you needn't have found the hiding place yet (stage 40) nor even accepted the quest (stage 20). Since this dialogue entry does not update the Journal in any way, the quest will remain open yet unfinishable without resorting to the console. — Wolfborn(Howl) 03:06, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
