Morrowind talk:Engaer's Bounty

You don't need to take precautions to get in the room, you can open all the locked rooms in the "Upper Tower" without getting a bounty. Actually it is advisable to have a look in those rooms, lot of treasure there. Killing the guy is a bit more tricky. Using a Chameleon (as said in the article) spell is a good idea: You'll notice the NPCs in this level won't raise your bounty, but Master Neloth is there and you might need him for the Main Quests or other quests, Neloth won't attack you, but he will be tagged "in combat" AND it is difficult to speak with him in that state. Just use Chamaleon to kill Engaer, it will prolly alert the nearest guard (Ivramie Sarandas), kill her too using the same method (you have to get her in a room so Neloth doesn't see the bloodbath) and it will be over. Disposition of all the remaining NPCs in the "Upper Tower" will decrease in any case.
