Old conversation moved from Classes[edit]

I have in my possession the Morrowind prophecies guide. I have the table and the questions results, as best as I can, 100% correct. I am not 100% sure what happens with the other 9 different possibilities but other than that the information is now added so now the classes should be very much so more completed then before. Unless the leveling up section for classes is not included somewhere on the site, then it might be advice to include them also. But never the less I couldn't find the questions and results elsewhere on the site so I added them.

I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that there's only 30 possible combinations. By my calculations, there should be 66:

Even if you discounted all combinations with one value of 7 or over, you still get 36 combinations. I think the math needs work, maybe... --TheRealLurlock Talk 23:24, 22 November 2007 (EST)
Lurlock is quite right. I changed one thing in the original table of class results when I extracted this from Classes, which is that a Witch Hunter needs 3 Combat instead of 2. I assumed it was an error, since the combination didn't add up to 10 before. Either way, though, there are some combinations missing. For example, what class do you get from 4 Combat, 3 Magic, and 3 Stealth answers? There are still questions to be answered. Easy enough to do by just going through the quiz a few times. Anyone got the patience? --TheNicestGuy 23:24, 3 January 2008 (EST)
I did a few but hit a problem where more than one set of answers leads to the same class. I already added Acrobat to the article but here are some others (Stealth-Combat-Magic)
3-4-3 → Rogue
5-5-0 → Archer
5-4-1 → Rogue
5-1-4 → Spellsword
5-0-5 → Witchhunter
How do you want to handle such things in the sortable table? —RpehTCE 06:04, 4 January 2008 (EST)
The most sensible way, as far as I can see at the moment, is just to include multiple rows for classes that match multiple combinations. (Which I just did for those you mentioned.) If we finally tested and confirmed all 66 combos, I wouldn't be surprised to find that the multi-combo classes each occupied a "contiguous" range. For example, the Witchhunter might end up being exactly 5 Magic and any combination of Combat and Stealth. If that's the case, it could be condensed to one row as "any / any / 5". But that might make the sorting behavior less than convenient. Let's try it this way first and see how unruly it is. --TheNicestGuy 09:35, 4 January 2008 (EST)

Spellsword?[edit]

In the table, it says a Spellsword is the result of 2 Stealth, 4 Combat, 4 Magic, or of 5 Stealth, 1 Combat, 4 Magic. Should the latter configuration be 1 Stealth, 5 Combat, 4 Magic? The 5/1/4 combination I would expect to result in either Nightblade or Witchhunter, rather than Spellsword. --Gaebrial 10:19, 4 January 2008 (EST)

Trivia?[edit]

I think there may be a connection between Question 9 of the Class Quiz, where a gang of bullies demands your sweetroll and Fallout 3 (also Bethesda), where in the beginning a bully also demands a sweetroll that you got as a birthday present. Do we do trivia sections here or is there no place for that particular tidbit of information? I joined this site earlier today so I'm unfamiliar with the policies here.--PJDEP 06:05, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

That's a well-known link. See this, for instance. We don't, however, refer to other games in Bethesda's catalogue. rpeh •TCE 09:45, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Thanks for the reply.--PJDEP 17:43, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Revamp the Table?[edit]

Quite honestly, this table is currently a mess. Many options are missing, and at least one (Bard) doesn't even add up to ten. I just tested all interesting options in-game. Assuming the wiki is correct about how the classes are determined (i.e. it only counts the number of responses, and each is either C, M, or S), then the table below shows my results (I'm sorry for the length - I don't know how to split it correctly). This disagrees in several places with the table that currently exists and some of these make very little sense tbh. For now I'll just post this on the talk page, so hopefully it can be reviewed and checked. I've also made a triangular diagram (like governments in HOI), where these are all laid out. If I can digitize it, I'll post that as well.

Class Combat Magic Stealth

sweatroll[edit]

this sucks, that baker was nice enough to give it to me and I have to destroy it in all 3 answers. Why can't a be "Shove the sweatroll in your mouth, then bring up your fists for the fight"? why must I step on it? :( QQ

anybody know how to edit this text in daggerfall and if there is a mod to do it in morrowind? lol
