Couple Questions...

1: What does it mean when it says a "right slave trader"?

2: Why, in the quest entries, does one (next to bottom) say "her death", and the next one say "his death"? That one is either a typo, or shouldn't it have the [sic] tag, as Brallion is a he.

1. That's an British English colloquial expression. It means "complete; utter; real", as in "he's a right idiot" = "he's a complete idiot".

2. In this case "her" refers to Ilmeni Dren, and "his" refers to Brallion.

Pickpocketing?

Is it even possible to steal the ring from him? I tried pickpocketing him over and over again and all I could ever see were 2 regular Exquisite Rings. I finally settled for buying the ring from him and then pickpocketing the 500 gold back (and even that took a bunch of reloads - he seems to be very good at detecting thieves). 24.60.235.154 00:39, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Well, when I had my sneak up at 100, my Ring of Khajiit and Amulet of Shadows both activated, and in sneak mode behind him, I was able to pickpocket it. I don't remember what my Agility was at the time, but I think in the 70s. However, that took quite a few tries. However, it is definitely possible. Justeazy 06:52, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Sorry to resurrect an old issue, but I can't see - and therefore can't pickpocket - anything at all in his inventory - even with Sneak boosted to 400, an Agility of 120, Luck at 125 and 80% Chameleon. If I straight up murder him, he has the ring and the two generic exquisite rings mentioned above (plus other junk), but I can never see them... even if I reload from an older savegame and travel there again. 124.168.106.199 19:20, 11 September 2012 (EDT)

Even with a sneak and security boosted to 1000+, trying many times in a row, his ring does not show up in inventory.

I was able to pickpocket the ring with a Sneak of 60. It didn't show up every time I looked, but it there more than half the time. I'm using PC GOTY with MCP2.1 There's a note in MCP about pickpocketing being broken in vanilla Morrowind. Maybe some player's problems relate to this.Fiwiji (talk) 01:44, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Moved bug

• Sometimes Brallion cannot be found after this quest is initiated. Locals will tell you he is having a drink in Fara's however he will not be there nor in his usual spot. There is no known fix for this glitch.

I completed the previous task, but Jim Stacey has disappeared. He is never in the bookstore anymore. I did not kill him. Did I make a mistake somewhere and/or is it fixable? I am a "mastermind." I have completed all of the Thieves' Guild quests. Once I completed the "Enamor" quest I returned to the bookstore to report back to Jim but only Crazy Legs was there. When i choose to ask about Gentleman Jim Stacey in the dialogue box, Crazy only keeps saying, "Look around fool". Tiff 67.184.232.112 16:56, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Thats sounds like a bug to me. Sometimes NPC's can disappear, for to me unknown reasons. At Tel Fyr I often have Tanusea Veloth disappear on me, and the Balmora mages guild orc (Cant recall her name) as well.

Ive found that with Tanusea and the Orc it is usually caused by resting or sleeping in the same cell as them. They will be there before a rest, and gone after.

Im on xbox and the only cure for me is reloading a previous save. If youre on a pc a console code might work, but youd have to ask which one from someone who knows them, not me. Good luck:)

I just encountered this bug on PC GOTY. I used the console command

Placeatpc,"Brallion",1,1,0
