Question[edit]

Is this supposed to disappear when I drop it? I would like to be able to set it down and examine it closer or add it to my museum/house until I better understand the ways of enchanting =( Jihiro 03:50, 8 January 2008 (EST)

On a side note, the article should have some sort of warning if it is supposed to disappear.Jihiro 03:52, 8 January 2008 (EST)
Okay well it doesn't disappear, it just blends really well into the stone floor within Azura's Shrine ^_^; I really should be more observant at 4am! Jihiro 03:58, 8 January 2008 (EST)

Needed?[edit]

Do we really need this disambig page? The Throwing version of Azura's Star is a test-item not found anywhere in the game, whereas the soulgem is a very important and popular artifact. I think the soulgem page should be the default, at Morrowind:Azura's Star, while the Morrowind:Azura's Star (soulgem) page should just be deleted and all links changed to point here. This isn't a case of a page where there's likely to be much ambiguity (e.g. Morrowind:Vivec). 99% of the time, if people are talking about Azura's Star, they mean the soulgem, and not the CS-only throwing star, which most people are unlikely to be aware even exists, thus they won't know that they need to link to the disambig'd version of the page instead of directly to here. All in all, not a great way to set things up. --TheRealLurlock Talk 20:16, 4 July 2008 (EDT)

Agreed, typing Azura's Star should just take you to the soul gem page directly. There's a note on that page for those interested in the curiosity. --BenouldTC 23:24, 4 July 2008 (EDT)

There IS a difference between Azura's Star in Morrowind and Oblivion[edit]

And it's a major one. Azura's Star in Oblivion CANNOT hold an NPC soul, which it can do in Morrowind, given that it's the only soul gem capable of holding the souls of the Tribunal members. Only Black Soul Gems can hold an NPC soul in Oblivion. 67.193.96.49 02:28, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

No, sorry. The Tribunal have passed beyond mortality long ago: they really are living gods and their souls are divine. The star cannot trap the souls of normal NPCs in either game. rpeh •TCE 08:59, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

She's gone![edit]

I was attempting to kill the golden saint at the end of the Azura's Star quest. She was getting the better of me, so I turned myself invisible. She ran away, and I didn't follow her because I didn't think she'd leave the island. Now I can't find her anywhere. Any clues as to where she went? — Unsigned comment by 99.4.166.60 (talk)

Probably into the shack where the priestess is. Which means you'll have to reload an earlier save because you'll fail the quest if you go in there. --Gaebrial 10:51, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
Unless Staada has special scripting, NPCs in Morrowind can't enter or exit buildings and doors unless they're following you or it's scripted. (Eddie The Head 11:15, 20 February 2012 (UTC))

Best use of Almalexia's Soul[edit]

So, okay, let's say you bring the Star with you through the Mad God quest and win. You now have an object so expensive as to be wildly impractical to sell even by bartering items with the mudcrab. By the time you can beat Almalexia, you have probably already done some serious enchanting to get the constant effects you like and weapon of choice.

So, aside from a show piece in your personal museum, what's the best use for this? Gglazer (talk) 04:05, 8 August 2013 (GMT)
