Open Book[edit]

In regards to the phrase "This book is always found laying open, never closed on shelves", I don't really see it as important to note that, but I could be convinced otherwise. Robin Hoodtalk 12:08, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

It is probably not important, but it is noted for other books. I do not know how Oblivion works, but in Morrowind a specific book-id version can either be found open or closed, and most of the ones that can be found open, also have a version that is closed. This one does not, apparently. --Brf 12:13, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
I'm not quite sure why it was added in the first place, but several books mention it at the moment, and given that it's already done we may as well keep it. rpeh •TCE 12:18, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
Well, this is a skill book too. If a skill book has both open and closed versions, the player can benefit from both. By noting there is no closed version, you are saying it can only be used once, unlike the others that have an open version. --Brf 12:22, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
Good point. I hadn't thought of that. rpeh •TCE 12:46, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
