Fortunata ap Dugal[edit]

"Torradan shares a last name with Fortunata ap Dugal, the Pirate Queen who ruled Anvil during the Interregnum. However, there is no evidence of any direct familial connection."

I think it's fair to say them sharing a name, her also being a pirate queen, her having a faction called "Red Sails" instead of "Red Sabre", and her being the warlord of Anvil is more than a little bit of evidence. Not definitive, but I'd say there's a pretty heavy implication there. — Unsigned comment by Araanim (talkcontribs) at 17:03 on 13 September 2019‎ (UTC)

Implication of what, exactly? Torridan was the son of a prostitute in Skyrim, the only connection he has to Anvil is that he died there. The fact that a pirate queen with his surname once ruled the castle he is later buried under is not evidence of anything, particularly when the existence of said castle during ESO's time period is a direct retcon of Dunbarrow Cove's history. Fortunata ap Dugal is more of an Easter egg than anything; it's bad lore. Worth nothing, but not something we can speculate on without further information. Clearly the ap Dugals have piracy in their veins, but that's about all we can say. —Legoless (talk) 13:02, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
Either way, the sentence stating there no familial connection is rather redundant, as the rest of the note, stating they share the same last name, does not state nor imply they are related, nor that they are not related. The wording is very neutral here and is enough to not agree nor disagree with either view. --Rezalon (talk) 13:54, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
