Son[edit]

"I told you. Ai. It's the way of humans. They are a short-lived people. It doesn't really matter. His power lives on, and his son now wields it."

His son? Shouldn't it be grandson? Unless I'm missing something, which is possible... But Pelagius is explicitly stated to be Tiber Septim's grandson, we don't even know anything about his son. 109.205.248.173 17:05, 28 December 2013 (GMT)

No, that's the text of the book, it can't and won't be changed. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 17:11, 28 December 2013 (GMT)
No, I understand that, of course. I meant that if it is indeed a mistake, and not some misunderstanding on my part, than it should be tagged with the "sic" tag. Sorry for not making myself clearer.109.205.248.173 18:07, 28 December 2013 (GMT)
Sic tags are for misspellings, typos, extra words, or grammatical mistakes, not for words that may or may not be correctly used. By assigning it a sic tag we are saying it was wrongly used, when in fact there is a rare definition of son as "a descendant of". That definition is more commonly seen used in conjunction with a place or select group of people, such "a son of Athens". There are quite a few examples of Bethesda using older, uncommon or disused meanings of words in the games. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 18:32, 28 December 2013 (GMT)
Oh, I see. It seems my grasp of the English language has failed me this time. Thanks for clarifying the matter. 109.205.248.173 18:49, 28 December 2013 (GMT)
