Note on Page[edit]

"During the fourth era, Restoration magic was refined to be used as a weapon against undead adversaries. These spells not only could make undead flee in terror but even ignite them." The page lists different aspects of the restoration school. I want to change this last bullet so that it doesn't explain how the spells work. This explanation isn't found ingame, and I happen to disagree with the gamer's rationalization. (I don't think that restoration magic is a specific type of magical energy that can be refined. I think that it's a collection of similar uses of magicka) Cholyn (talk) 21:21, 16 December 2013 (GMT)

Sun damage[edit]

"*Spells that deal sun damage to undead are also considered to be part of the restoration school, but appear to be a later addition to it, first appearing in the Fourth Era." I'm removing this bulletin. There's no such thing as sun damage. — Unsigned comment by 173.202.245.40 (talk) at 05:51 on 4 August 2014

I've undone your edit. Skyrim contains several weapons that deal sun damage, and they are considered part of the restoration school. Jeancey (talk) 06:20, 4 August 2014 (GMT)
Fine, then I'm rationalizing this. It is proven that magicka can be absorbed through starlight, as seen in "Magic from the sky". The sun and stars are said to be paths to Aetherius. Sun damage is a purer kind of magic. This somehow affects undead more than the living. I wonder if it has something to do with their binding. — Unsigned comment by 173.202.245.40 (talk) at 19:27 on 4 August 2014
Original research has no place on the wiki, state the facts as they are, even if they don't make sense. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 19:35, 4 August 2014 (GMT)
