Proposed deletion[edit]

I'm opposed to the proposed deletion of this page. The reasoning given was that "information on this page restates Lyranth's page without containing any information not directly tied to Lyranth". This is simply not a reason to delete the page of a loreworthy faction, which is significant not only as a Daedric clan but also due to their historical role in the events of ESO. Lyranth's actions are intrinsically tied to the fate of her clan and this does absolutely nothing to invalidate the existence of this page.

I've also undone the recent changes to this page that suggest the Dremora who show up and applaud Lyranth in the Pyramid aren't Foolkillers. This is based on the line, ""My lost clan awaits Seris in the darkness", which is in conflict with the subsequent line, "I wouldn't recommend lingering in my territory, little mortal. I cannot vouch for the patience or control of my newly awakened kyn." This totally ignores the possibility that some Foolkillers have returned to the Pyramid, while some remain lost in the Void and are yet to reform. This is a far more likely outcome, since we know from the events of Imperial City Prison that Lyranth only recently freed the Foolkillers from their imprisonment in Dusk's armor, allowing their souls to return to the void ("My clan is free now. Free to return, as Daedra do.").

The real speculation is assuming that the Dremora who appear and cheer for Valkynaz Lyranth are members of the hated Deathbringer Clan, or some other non-aligned Dremora in service to Bal. There is no basis for this conclusion and we cannot infer this from a perceived contradiction in her dialogue. Lyranth literally states that her kyn have awakened and are a danger to be around; it is a statement of fact to identify the cheering Dremora as Foolkillers. —Legoless (talk) 17:04, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

I concede that I have misinterpreted Lyranth's dialogue and that the cheering Dremora are likely to be Foolkillers. However, that does not change that this page does not, in fact, describe a loreworthy faction. However much Lyranth's actions are tied to her clan, this is information for her page, which makes this page redundant for containing only and all information included therein. It isn't redundant, since one page deals with a historically significant Daedric clan while the other deals specifically with the leader of that clan who is historically significant in her own right. If anything, I figure lorespace should prioritise a faction over an individual, but this is not a proposal to delete Lore:Lyranth. They are two separate topics and there is no reason to delete information about the Foolkillers from Lore:Factions just because both articles rely on the same source; many lore pages share the same pool of sources and cover similar information. I don't think this page is eligible for "uncontroversial" proposed deletion based on such rationale, so I would suggest going to deletion review. —Legoless (talk) 19:13, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
