question[edit]

By "The Deep Ones" is this book referring to the Dwemer, or some religious cult? Could this be the last remaining bit of cultural evidence of the lost Dwarves? (ignoring the fact that the text is actually gibberish) — Unsigned comment by 209.134.75.234 (talk)

Nope. It's an easter egg. Read the bit about A Shadow Over Hackdirt on that page. –RpehTCE 00:49, 30 May 2008 (EDT)
correct me if im mistaken but aint the dwemer called the deep ones? saw it on imperial library — Unsigned comment by 69.19.14.21 (talk) at 03:28 on 16 March 2011 (UTC)
I think I've seen that reference used before in Morrowind. Understandable because the dwemer were a civilization deep within the earth. However, the bible is an obvious reference to "The Shadow over Innsmouth" by H. P. Lovecraft. Western3589 03:34, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

Image?[edit]

Why does this page have an Image of the book? I don't think any other book pages have images like this. — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 00:11, 7 April 2013 (GMT)

I don't think I have the answer to that, but it looks ridiculous as it is standing Kimi, and I think it should be removed -- perhaps the editor who placed it there in the first place wanted to dictate the exact location of it, but it's not necessary for a lorespace book regardless. -helenaanne  talk ♥ 00:18, 7 April 2013 (GMT)

Translation[edit]

The translation could be a code. I'ma gonna try and crack it because I've got nothin better to do — Unsigned comment by 217.44.155.77 (talk) at 17:33 on 10 June 2013

It is. As our article states, "The text is an excerpt from N'Gasta! Kvata! Kvakis!". See The Imperial Library for the translated version. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 00:24, 11 June 2013 (GMT)
