Dro'Zira[edit]

I believe it is worth mentioning some of the new light shed on Sul in Lore:The Tale of Dro'Zira. The book's addition in Skyrim seems to be a credible third source on the subject, insinuating that Alandro was Khajiit, and, further, offering a differing accounting for whom Sul allied himself with at the Battle of Red Mountain. It would seem that the while the Dunmer claim Sul was a companion to Nerevar, and the Nords similarly place him with the armies of the Chimer and Dwemer, Khajiiti tradition holds that Sul fought alongside Wulfharth.

As if the details of that battle weren't foggy enough already. Plazmataz (talk) 03:13, 30 December 2012 (GMT)

Dro'Zira's tale hasn't been extensively incorporated yet into the lore section. I think it's understandable, as the tale is hard to interpret in many ways. The tale is, admittedly, coming from a foreigner who is transcribing an eavesdropped history lesson from a coked-out cat who is talking to an offspring, apparently one about an honored ancestor. It's particularly likely that many of the statements are exaggerations or distortions. It is the only source of information for this Dro'Zira character; we haven't even made a page for him. Further, it can be interpreted multiple ways; you have apparently interpreted it to mean that Sul is a Khajiit, and I don't see where you're getting that from. The book doesn't seem to mention Sul at all. If you're saying Dro'Zira is Sul, then that doesn't fit; Sul fought Wulfharth, and Dro'Zira was apparently on Wulfharth's side. It's not even clear what battle they're referring to; there were two battles at Red Mountain; the well-known one around 1E 700 and an earlier one in 1E 416 which drove out the Nords. Sources differ and are silent on some details, but it's possible Dro'Zira's tale could have been part of either battle. It's just a big pile of dubiousness that's hard to reliably and accurately mesh with other lore. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 05:34, 30 December 2012 (GMT)
The details of the Battle are dubious in any case, as is much of Tamriel's history across the board. The battle in question could not have been the Nordic campaign against Morrowind in 416, as that was long before Wulfharth's time. Regardless of the side with whom Sul fought at the 1E 700 battle (Khajiit legend is not any more above scrutiny than Nord or Dunmer), history places him (and Wulfharth) on Red Mountain at the time of the battle. We can also piece together that he came away from it blinded, having possibly retired to live with Ashlander tribes in the wake of the chaos. Considering Khajiiti's close relationship with Azura, the notion that Dro'Zira might be a different name for Alandro Sul, Azura's "immortal son," is not unthinkable. It's not beyond debate, but it's also not impossible. Plazmataz (talk) 06:32, 31 December 2012 (GMT)
