Warlord Uchuiran was one of the thirteen Reachfolk warlords of the Winterborn Clan. He lived during the Interregnum period, around 2E 582, and fought against the Orcs for his ancestral homeland, Wrothgar.[1][2][3]

History[edit]

Kraala Birdsong, his lover

During the Interregnum, the Winterborn Clan ruled over Wrothgar amidst the reign of the Longhouse Emperors of the Reach.[4] When the Daggerfall Covenant had formed and the Orcs were diplomatically granted full control of the Wrothgar territory, the Winterborn fought against them as the ongoing Alliance War was raging on in 2E 582. Uchuiran was one of the thirteen leading warlords of the splintered clan.[1][2][3]

Despite that, Urfon Ice-Heart was considered the leader of the Winterborn in general as of 2E 582.[1] Little is known of the other eleven leaders. In 2E 582, Uchuiran's forces were stationed in Coldperch Cavern, where Kraala Birdsong, a hagraven lover of Uchuiran, was transforming both their forces and prisoners into birds.[2][3][5] In reality, Kraala despised both the Orcs and the Winterborn, though she found the Reachfolk useful in some ways.[6] She was eventually slain by mercenaries hired by the local Orcs.[5][7]

Little is known of Uchuiran's fate, as he was not present during the mercenaries attack.[5][7] Although, as of 2E 582, King Kurog claimed that Urfon was the last of the thirteen Winterbon leaders, before defeating him and his forces at Frostbreak Fortress,[1][8] letters mentioning Uchuiran as alive were found in Reachfolk camps in Coldperch Cavern at roughly the same time.[2][3] Regardless, the remaining Winterborn forces were ultimately defeated during the siege of Frostbreak Fortress in 2E 582 by Kurog gro-Orsinium's forces and allies.[8]
