Nornalhorst is an Ayleid ruin in the West Weald of Cyrodiil, located east of Skingrad.[1] Its lower area of Nornalhorst Sel Gandrevla can be roughly translated as "Hall of Gifted Time".

History[edit]

Nornalhorst circa 2E 582

Circa 2E 582, the Gray Vipers bandit gang had taken residence in the ruins.[2] They preyed upon refugees who came to nearby Vlastarus fleeing from the Alliance War, stealing their possessions and killing some.[3] They'd apparently killed Mercuro's brother Scarius, whom he buried with his ancestors, facing Nornalhorst, and swore to avenge him.[4] Some soldiers were hired to retrieve various mementos from the ruins and return them to their rightful owners in Vlastarus.[3][5]

By the time of the Oblivion Crisis in 3E 433, the subterranean halls of the ruins were occupied by a coven of vampires.[6]
