The Kingdom of Sentinel

The Koomu Alezer'i Yaghoub[1] (Yoku for "We Acknowledge Yaghoub"), also simply called Koomu Alezer'i[2] is a holiday held on the 17th of Second Seed[nb 1] and observed by the Redguards of Sentinel. It is a day made in remembrance of the city's founder, Yaghoub the Seafarer, who discovered the city's harborage on that day in the early-mid First Era by following the Steed constellation and named it after the watchman who first saw it.[1]

The people celebrate by sharing pomegranates with each other[1] and partaking in the harvest. Whether the harvest provides or not, the kingdom's people give thanks to the gods and pray for their good graces.[2] Some scholars suggest that Koomu Alezer'i was a springtide holiday.[3]

Notes[edit]

  • ^  The holiday in Daggerfall was set on the 11th of Last Seed but in modern sources from ESO it is the 17th of Second Seed to correspond with other lore bits.
