King Hylfrald was the ruler of Skyrim at some point before 2E 582. He ruled from his seat of power in Solitude. Little is known of his reign, except that as of then Reachfolk marauders were active at the borders of his kingdom, northwest of Karthwasten.[1]
One of his vassals, Falkfyr Snowmason was sent on a mission to track down the band of the Reachmen marauders. He ventured into the mountains but was trapped in a massive cavern due to a blizzard and collapsed ground. He never returned and died in the caverns of Blackreach, underneath the Reach.[1][2]
