Ranks[edit]

I don't think I've ever defeated the boss, but I'm rank 7. Do you gain a rank every nine wins, irrespective of which opponents you beat? I could check but I don't like playing Solo Arena. yellowantphil (talk) 15:00, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

You first need to beat 8 opponents before unlocking the boss. Only after defeating the boss you'll get a new rank. --Ilaro (talk) 16:33, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
Wouldn't I have received the Adoring Fan if I had ever defeated the boss? yellowantphil (talk) 01:29, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
You actually should have gotten it then. They did reset the Solo Arena a couple of months ago, so maybe something did go wrong and you were 'reset' from 9 to 7? I don't know how it would be possible otherwise. Or maybe you don't need to defeat the boss in the lower rankings, but I can not verify that anymore. --Ilaro (talk) 01:46, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
I believe for the first few rank(s) of Solo Arena, you do not need to obtain 9 wins to move up to the next rank. I can't remember the specifics, but I remember that I did not obtain 9 wins the first time I played Solo Arena yet can remember still moving up to the next rank. However, it wasn't until my first 9 win run that I obtained a copy of the Adoring Fan. Forfeit (talk) 01:51, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
I lost to the boss but still ranked up from 9 to 8. --FioFioFio (talk) 18:04, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

Elo System[edit]

I think this a a great article. I think that I found a small typo: "The minimum is an elo of 800 the maximum of 800."

Thanks for letting me know. Maximum should have been 2000. Fixed it. --Ilaro (talk) 10:58, 19 October 2018 (UTC)
