Unique Items and/or Specialty Gear Page(s)[edit]

I've been trying to clean up some of the item pages which have been created for unique weapons or armor, and to make the layout look better, I've been adding the {{Artifact Summary}} templates to them. However, I'm sure that many of them don't qualify as artifacts (though some might), and I think we need to set up either a Dragonborn:Unique Items or Dragonborn:Specialty Gear page (or both) where some of these can be documented. Then the individual pages can be redirected to the general page(s). Thoughts? Volunteers? — ABCface 07:52, 7 December 2012 (GMT)

I think both are needed. I was trying to create redirects for individual armor pieces but I realised that they have their own pages. For example, Blackguard's armor, Deathbrand armor, and most jewellery listed under Clothing should be moved to Unique Items; and faction clothes such as Morag Tong armor be moved to Specialty Gear. I believe this was what we did for Skyrim?? If others are okay with this, I'll go ahead and handle the Unique Items page. ~ Psylocke 08:00, 7 December 2012 (GMT)
Seems like a good idea for me. If you need me to check on anything (since I know at least Psylocke doesn't have an xbox), just let me know. Jeancey (talk) 08:07, 7 December 2012 (GMT)
Okay, I'm going to take a stab at organising the Unique Items page in the next thirty minutes. Let's see how it comes out. ~ Psylocke 08:21, 7 December 2012 (GMT)
Okay, I launched the Unique Items page. Can I have some verification: which of the jewelry listed at Skyrim:Clothing#Jewelry are unique, i.e., there's only one in the game? ~ Psylocke 09:03, 7 December 2012 (GMT)
Of the ones listed, all except the East Empire Pendants are unique. Its possible that the bottom four rings aren't unique, but based on the dialogue from the place you buy them from, they are. Special rings crafted by Hicirne especially for werewolves. And you have to be a werewolf to buy them. Jeancey (talk) 09:17, 7 December 2012 (GMT)
Thanks for the input Jeancey. But before I add the rings to the list, we need to decide which are artifacts (which deserve their own articles) and which are not. The list of Weapons also can be categorised into unique items and artifacts too, I think. ~ Psylocke 10:29, 7 December 2012 (GMT)
I don't think they should each have their own article. If they need a separate article, I would say to put them all on one article. Jeancey (talk) 10:34, 7 December 2012 (GMT)

() Currently, the artifact template is only used on most of those articles for a convenient item data box to make the page look half-decent. The dragon priest masks are the only ones which are definitely artifacts. The Bloodskal Blade is a likely candidate. As for the others, we will have to wait a little longer to determine the exact effects (from game data) and figure out how well they fit into the artifact definition we currently use. While we're waiting, though, I think putting them all on one page is the best way to go. It will keep things all together and organized, and we can sort them all out later. — ABCface 15:31, 7 December 2012 (GMT)

Generic Magic Armor/Weapons Page[edit]

There seem to be many new generic enchanted items added. If nobody else does it before, I'll take a stab at it on Sunday, trying to generate a page semi-automatically. It's not really exciting stuff, so I guess it doesn't have a high priority. RH already told me he can have his bot creating links to it - we are looking at hundreds of items here. --Alfwyn (talk) 19:47, 7 December 2012 (GMT)

Spider scrolls[edit]

So the new crafting of spiders in the game (see the recipes and such) craft items named along the lines of Exploding Flame Spider. However, they aren't creatures (well, the ones you make anyway), but instead are classified as scrolls. The exploding ones appear to be dead, while the rest appear to be alive, according to an in game character. I have no idea how to categorize them at all. A description of the item is "Tosses a dead spider on the ground which explodes when an enemy gets too close." so my guess is that they function in the exact same way a Scroll of Flame Rune would function, and that's why they are classified as scrolls. No idea what to do here though, so some advice would be appreciated. Jeancey (talk) 23:35, 8 December 2012 (GMT)

Armor set pages DB[edit]

I've noticed that none of the armor set pages have images yet and just wondering if this can be rectified thx!! — Unsigned comment by 173.30.187.38 (talk) at 02:57 on 22 December 2012‎

It's difficult to get game images on the XBox that are actually good quality, so once it comes out on PC, most images will be uploaded more quickly. — ABCface 03:36, 22 December 2012 (GMT)
