Can't Jump or Climb[edit]

For some reason I can't jump or climb onto the lifting throne in the first dungeon. — Unsigned comment by 74.99.255.84 (talk) at 21:16 on 18 July 2007‎

nothing about vista[edit]

i was wondering, i'm getting a new computer pretty soon and hoping to run daggerfall on it and it doesnt really say if it's possible to run on vista or if i should just get xp (i was probobly going to anyway). It looks pretty complicated to get it to work on xp, though im not very good at computer jangle so i dont understand much of it. im guessing, since vista screws up most other games, it wont work at all on daggerfall, but i just want to be sure before i tell the guy whos making my comp what to put in it. — Unsigned comment by Alstana (talkcontribs) on 11 December 2008

See this. It works well for the older games, even under Vista. –RpehTCE 05:59, 12 December 2008 (EST)

dead links[edit]

"This bug was thoroughly examined and solved on the official Elder Scrolls Forum" <- link doesn't work anymore. Can anyone correct it? 85.248.66.209 12:35, 20 February 2009 (EST)

Article is Outdated[edit]

I don't know enough about it to update it.
Recommendations - Windows Virtual Machine Link but which one to select, I don't know. It also seems to only work for Windows 7 and not any later OS
I'm currently trying to figure out how to get the memory extender to work on Windows 10 but some of the options mentioned in various places are now missing from the latest version of Windows 10. Vainamoinen -Talk -Stuff 22:07, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

Okay, I got it to work use DOSBox. Turns out no 64-bit OS is compatible with 16-bit programs anymore - Windows 10 at least. The Virtual Machine information in the article might want to add that it only works on a 32-bit OS. Vainamoinen -Talk -Stuff 22:48, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
Wouldn't it be simpler to just use VMWare, VirtualBox, or any equivalent thing, tell it what hardware to emulate, and install a copy of MS-DOS in it? The game shouldn't react any differently to being run on a real early-1990s PC, nor even be dependent on being run from a Windows machine at all, but should work fine that way on a Mac or Linux machine. I'll probably attempt this myself. — Darklocq  ¢ 05:05, 31 May 2018 (UTC)

Cleanup first person (in the non-gaming sense)[edit]

This article is full of a bunch of first-person ("I", "me", "my") wording that needs to be cleaned up. This isn't a personal blog. — Darklocq  ¢ 05:02, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
