Clarifications?

Why does the mead never arrive? Is it a conflict with sending out the hunters? I've waited patiently for three weeks now, she said it has been ordered, and will be there in 7 days, and it never shows up.

I've got the same problem, and I'm not the only one. The only common mod is unofficial patch, and I don't think it breaks anything.

The problem is with with the local variable localdayspassed in Svenja's script. It checks if now is the same day as the last time it checked, and if not, it adds 1 to variable. Dialogue needs 7+ to progress.

The script is local, so it runs only when you are inside the Thirsk. If you wait a week inside, it should go up to 7 correctly. However, if you go outside, the variable will only go up every time a day or more has passed since your last visit. So it doesn't matter if you were absent for a day or for a month, it will only go up by 1 for each visit of meadhall, so you will need a total of seven visits on any different days.

I should also note that when you order a mead, localdayspassed gets set to 0, but when you order hides, it doesn't. So if you order the mead first, you should then be able to get both your mead and your hides simultaneously.

To summarize, here's how to advance in your mead quest:

1. Wait inside the Thirsk Hall for a week.

2. Visit the Thirsk Hall seven times on different days.

3. Open console, click on Svenja, enter: "set localdayspassed to 7".

Extreme delay on deliveries

The information that was provided in the previous post helps explain a lot about my situation. Looking back in my journal, I ordered both the mead and pelts on Day 291, then I finished the Bloodmoon main quest, did the rest of the Bloodmoon side missions, went back to Vvardenfell, did the main quest from the first Caius mission through defeating Dagoth Ur, started Tribunal and got through a number of the side and main missions there, and the pelts and mead still weren't delivered on day 370. After finally sleeping in the hall, the pelts and mounted heads did finally show up, but still waiting on the Mead; knowing the information from above should help things along though now. --Dragos Drakkar (talk) 01:46, 22 August 2016 (UTC)

I wonder if there is a similar restriction on the Ice armor because I ran into an issue that more than three weeks of time passing in Vvardenfell still didn't end up with even a single piece of the armor being completed. --Dragos Drakkar (talk) 01:49, 22 August 2016 (UTC)

There's definitely something wrong with these deliveries. I also ordered both at the same time and the hunters came back 12 days later, while the mead 15 days later. I was asking every day, after 1 week passed. — Giant Lizard (talk) 22:26, 19 September 2021 (UTC)
