Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

The ancient troll

You will start in a forest where the walk will mostly be peaceful until you reach the outskirts of the village, where there will be three cave bears by the entrance. After you have cleared them out, head into the village where a villager will ask if you just killed those bears and thank you for it as nobody has been able to use that road for days. She will then ask if you could take care of a troll that the villagers have managed to capture before it goes on a rampage, you will have to do this to get the next gate open.

When you go over to the other villager next to the gate he will praise the Divines that you turned up when you did and tell you that the troll is just behind the gate. The troll is an ancient troll and is weak to fire like all trolls, after you have killed it, loot the chest next to where it was and then speak to the villager again, he will thank you and ask if he can help you with anything, you can ask him about today's shipment and he will point you in the direction of the dockmaster.

If you speak to the other villagers in this first section of the village, they will mostly refuse to give any details, showing the fear they have of the River Snake. You can also find a wooden chest in this first section, by the market stalls.

In the second section of the village you will encounter three more villagers, the one to the right, standing on her own will recognize you as the Queen's champion. The Argonian villager in the middle will say that it was sad that the animals had to die but that there was nothing else you could do, he will then reveal himself to be the old dockmaster, and that he was replaced by a brute when the River Snake started using the docks, and will say that he has a reward for you if you can get rid of him.

The first secret area is found in this second section of the village, with the lever being hidden in a bush on the wall opposite to where you entered, when pulled it will open a gate next to it which will have a silver chest in the secret area.

You will then have to speak to the guard by the gate to the docks, she will tell you that you can't pass, you can then tell her you have a warrant from the Queen to peacefully get past her, or you can threaten her, if you threaten her you will have to kill her. Either way, you will get the key to the gate behind her and be able to go to the docks.

Wanum waves you over

In the docks, you will encounter a hostile mercenary as you enter the area, once dealt with, continue onwards into the market area. To the right will be The Dockmaster who will speak to you and ask who you are. After you introduce yourself, he will turn hostile, after killing him, the River Snake's ship will sail away. You will then have to approach the smugglers at the pier section and defeat all three of them, after this, interact with the crate to pick up a message.

When you interact with the letter, it will read "Stay out of my business, unless you wish to end up like your friend.", Wanum will then approach the pier and wave at you to come over. When you approach him he will say that neither of you were successful, and then informs you that he found M'jaddah murdered, his head cut clean off. Carved into his chest was the Queen's insignia, the bleeding skull. You can then both return to town.
