Ionalla Dark-Heart

Ionalla Dark-Heart, a Nord thief, is a member of the Bruma Fighters Guild and an expert-level trainer in Archery.

After waking up at 8am, Ionalla will eat a quick breakfast at the guild before starting her training regime at 10am. For the next five hours you will find her shooting targets in the guild's training area. If it's Morndas, Middas or Fredas, she will first head over to A Cut Above for some shopping, before starting her training at 12pm. She will take a break from training at 3pm and eat a quick bite at 6pm, before restarting at 7pm for another three hours. After relaxing in the common room, she heads to bed in the basement at midnight.

Ionalla doesn't believe in modesty, as you will notice when first meeting her: "Name's Ionalla. Ionalla Dark-Heart. Best archer in Bruma and perhaps all of Cyrodiil." If you note her pride in her skills, she exclaims: "As I should be! Archery is something of a tradition in my family. My great-grandma Edla, they say she killed a man from over 300 yards. Talk about a good shot!" If you agree, she beams: "Only a shot a Dark-Heart could produce. One day, I'll beat that record."

If you ask her what it means to her to be in the guild, she explains: "Svenja and Eranir will talk your ear off about what the Fighters Guild does or doesn't mean to them, but for me it's simple. To be in the Fighters Guild is to have a chance at true glory. One day, all of Tamriel will sing my name, and it will have all started here. The coin paid for each job doesn't hurt either." If note that she has high hopes, she agrees: "I just have a goal. If you don't have a goal then what's the purpose in life?"

If you instead remind her about helping the people of Cyrodiil, she says: "That comes as part of the job. But that's what this is: a job. At the end of the day, if there wasn't a reward for contracts then none of us would be here. Well... maybe apart from Svenja." If you admit that makes sense, she replies: "Of course it does. Houses don't come cheap and neither does food or mead." If you instead say you agree with Svenja, she will scoff: "Most of the romantic types do."

Ask what she does around the guildhall will net you: "I offer archery training, for a price, to any who wish to learn and fight for coin and glory.Other than that, what more is there to do? Other than drink some fine ale at the tavern, of course." If you ask her views on the guildhall itself, she explains: "This is the city of my ancestors, my family has been here for generations - I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

Ionalla wears leather armor, gauntlets and boots, and is armed with an Elven bow, a steel dagger and 60 steel arrows. She also carries a philter of true shot, the key to the guildhall and a random selection of gold, lockpicks, gems, jewelry, food and drink.
