Post subject:  A-Bomb - Its happening again!

According to my stats I have completed 698 days in Cyroddil. I don't know what that means in actual playing hours but I have been playing the PV version now since about April of this year on and off. I completed about the same when I was playing the PS3 version.

The same bug seems to be presenting itself. Wooden doors in forts are slow opening and blessing visits to chapel altars seem different in that the light of healing hangs for much longer. There are other symptoms such as when you use a disabling spell on an enemy and then kill them by thrashing with a weapon or fists, the weapon, (more often an enchanted staff), disappears and becomes unavailable to loot.

I think I maybe experiencing the beginnings of the A-Bomb bug again.

Has anyone got any experience of this? Is there a cure on the PC version - can you enter anything in the console or from the OBSE, (I think that's what I mean!).

I have got as far as closing the initial Oblivion gates for cities starting with Kvatch and I've almost completed all of the other none story quests. The only outstanding are the last bit of the Thieves Guild Quests (I've been holding back with The Boots of Springheel Jak), a couple of the Daedric Quests, (I am holding on to Umbra for a while longer) and things like Vampire Cure stuff. I have completed the Knights of The Nine but I haven't even touched the Shivering Isles.

I want to do all of this stuff but I don't really want to struggle through all of this glitchiness. What can I do?

Consider yourself lucky you play on the PC now because it's impossible to fix on consoles and it's easy to fix on the PC with the animation fixer mod.

I've used the "animation fixer" mod multiple times in the past and it works perfectly. It changes one tiny byte in your savefile that causes the abomb bug.
