Just installed Morrowind on Windows 10 and encountered an issue when running the game in fullscreen mode where interiors and nighttime exteriors are almost pitch black. The brightness in windowed mode are what I would expect.

I've seen a lot of responses to this problem be "Morrowind is just a dark game, get used to it" which isn't true because I've installed Morrowind on four previous computers and it was never this dark (the windowed mode brightness is what I'm used to).

Most perplexing is that adjusting the in-game gamma and the brightness on my monitor makes no difference to how the game looks.

Any advice anyone could give would be great because I'd really rather not play the game in windowed mode or have it be impossible to see inside or at night.

Heard of this problem before on Macs, and the solution there was to run an emulator or something. I kind of doubt it's a Windows 10 problem, but you could try compatibility mode I guess?
