I understand that Levitation is needed to get to the Upper Tower entrance, but I thought the Lower Tower does not require it. When I arrive in Tel Mora, and walk through the 'welcome ring' there is a path that goes up to a platform (three staircases lead up to it). It appears to put me where the entrance 'dot' is in the mini-map but I see no entrance (spacebar clicking on everything does nothing). Where is the Entrance to the Lower Level? If it is above me, how do I get up there - most of the branches are steeply inclined.

I'm just trying to buy the Grand-Master Alchemy equipment not available peacefully elsewhere...

You want to talk to Daynali Dren (any relation to the Duke?) for the GM alchemy gear.
Go round the tower to where Lette is standing and look back. You will see a series of big round rocks leading to another ramp. Right up the ramp is the back door to the lower tower, and Deynali is just inside.
