For some reason my Personality has dropped quite a bit and is in red. I don't seem to be diseased and haven't done anything especially nasty. Any suggestions?

You probably got hit with a damage attribute spell.

You can fix it with a spell or potion with Restore Personality, also you can visit a Shrine of the Tribunal and use the Almsivi Restoration blessing to restore your attributes.

It's a pain in the butt, especially early game. I'd suggest learning some spells to help combat it or carry around potions that can work in a pinch.
